The UK is slowly rebuilding the RN, recent defence review showed increases in Frigates. The issue has been of cost and not capability.

Right now, the Astute submarines and Type 45s are the most advanced in the world in their peer groups. Not much comes close to them, until new generation designs are launched by the USA, etc.

The UK has the technology and capability, just not the money..

The NHS is something the British should be proud of lived in india the UK and US this institution is great. While the healthcare in the states is top-notch this is true duty of care to the people by the state .

A bit over-hyped these Carrier Groups. A single Kirov Class Russian Super Cruise aka the Carrier killer has enough fire power to flatten this so called Carrier Group including all it aircrafts. Go figure.

I heard this same stuff for the type 42 destroyers in the Late 70s . Being advanced and having the ability to defend oneself against enemy unknown sophisticated weapons are two significant differences.
