Nikki Haley hinted to China that ‘unpredictable’ Trump could invade North Korea: Report

If US can't win the first Korean war, it won't win the second, invading North Korea means Trump's going to fight 3 countries, North Korea, China and Russia. And North Korea will become a mass graveyard for US soldiers who set foot in it.
This war would be much different in execution and objectives. Every war is different and there is no guarantee that old tactics will work this time.

Why do you think Kim Jong-Un is having conversations with the Americans? Because Chinese government told him that he is on his own in this war.

In Syria; Russia is not fighting a proxy war with US. The two have deconflicting agreement there.

North Korea repeatedly threatening to nuke US, Japan and South Korea like no one else, tell me why US still doesn't have to balls to do anything with North Korea?

US invaded Iraq under the false excuse that Iraq possessed WMD. North Korea surely has WMD and they test nuclear bombs and flew missiles over Japan once every few months, what's stopping US from taking any military actions in North Korea?

Our good graces.

You forget that we dealt with Iraq for 10 yrs before we invaded -- again -- and overthrew Saddam Hussein. You also seems to think that we will invade NKR the same way we did Iraq. Simply put -- you are wrong.

Assuming that we will invade NKR, here is my take on it...

By this time, we will have secured SKR's commitment to do the same. US and South Korean troops will push northward when appropriate. All South Korean government institutions will have relocated out of North Korean artillery range.

US airpower will take the lead and WILL destroy NKR's air defenses. No one sane and/or attended a military academy doubt that, which leave out the Chinese members of this forum.

The USN WILL take control of the waters around the Korean peninsula. No one sane and/or attended a military academy doubt that, which leave out the Chinese members of this forum.

The PLA will not be able to challenge the US in the air AND in the seas, which pretty much leave the North Korean army to the slaughter.

They had the bomb and threatened to wipe US off the face of the earth much longer than 10 years, what did you do? Talking is cheap, dare you put the money where your mouth is.

If you want to talk about cheap, your China is king for that.

The Japanese did not conquer China, they took control of one small part of it (Manchukuo), invaded the northern and coastal regions but were kicked out soon after

It is much more than a 'small part'. All the economically rich and commercially viable places were under control except for inner China.

Economically speaking, that is almost all the valuable ports, trade and economical centres of China. Xinjiang was of no use to the Japanese at that point of time. Neither were the farmlands of the southeastern Chinese mainland.

My point is not about China's colonisation. It is about being realistic as the times have changed.

The British conquered India since they instilled their own government and culture on most of it, the Japanese only occupied coastal China for a few years before being pushed out by force.

Big difference between conquering and occupying

This should have been discussed in the visit by Abe. Japan would have been in the cross-hairs of an East Asian war and Abe does not want Japan in a war.

Nope.

You need to understand what the Japanese did in China. Just like we had chiefs and local princes hand in glove with the colonizers. Also, every occupied country has had rebellions against the colonizers of imperial era. China has the same amount of rebellions that India had.

If US invades North Korea, there is really not much that Abe can do.

Japan has almost no say when it comes to US decisions on war.

At the most, he can say that he won't provide his soldiers for the war and instead provide non-combat support to the Americans.

Nope.

Once again the Japanese never occupied all of China, and they werent rebellions they were an organised armed resistance supported by Chinese Regular forces from the very beginning of Japans invasion. India was hundreds of petty kingdoms warring with eachother and willingly surrendering power to the invading British forces in order to retain their titles. The British had dominion over all of India and Pakistan, the Japanese invaded and briefly held China's coastal regions; big difference
