how it will guide over oceans, I mean skimming flight? Does it have magnetic contour mapping?

Yes it has to.. Bcz normally for TERCOM a series of maps are produced, from mapping satellites. Which are then converted into data form and fed. When flying over water, contour maps are replaced by magnetic field maps and this helps the missile to keep working on low altitude.instead of terrain hugging the word often used is sea skimming

This is a very important project and needs to be completed soon. It will get us cruise missiles for hitting a lot of targets. BrahMos are hell costly and they will only be used against very high priority targets.

There was a ruffle in 2014 about a light weight air launched cruise missiles capable of supersonic speed, over 150km range .... any news up on it?
Seems an improved Exocet in profile though.
