New York subway so crappy, worse than the ones in third tier Chinese cities'

. . . .
New York's subway began operations in 1904 with most of the tunnels constructed around the same time while most Asian subways/metro systems were constructed in the past 2-3 decades.

But definitely, China is a world leader in modern transport infrastructure...something which India should learn from

Aside from the manhattan side, rest of the NY city looking like an old and crowded market place, building reminds me of chicken cages stacked on top of each other.

You know what, American supporter or slayer will give the excuse of US being an automobile countries. Public transport is useless. The US federal do that on purpose as they love their own car far better than any others. :enjoy:

New York is a $hit place to live tbh. This junk subway is not even across the entire city. Plus the roads are all bumpy and broken. All this along with tons of taxes and tolls. Many Pakistani people are moving to states like Texas.

But nothing beats New York period!
Hands down the best city in the world.

The city gives credence to the saying, “don’t judge a book by its cover”
What may look crappy outside, old warehouses, commercial spaces (eg. meat packing district), and old brown stones have history and with the amazing renovations/amenities inside like you wouldn’t believe.
In fact the old dilapidated look is what gives the city its charm. There is a culture and diversity to the city that cannot be replicated.

No doubt the road Infra and public transport needs an upgrade, but it’s not easy given the number of people these modes support on a daily basis. Can’t just outright close lines without making alternate arrangements. Perfect example is the L line going into Williamsburg.

There is a reason why people from all over America and the world want to live here in droves.
In comparison, most of America is cookie cutter and very bland.
Texas being the blandest of them all minus Austin.

. . .
Ok, keep that charm.

You do know that Rats and roaches are not something any city can avoid.
They will show up even in the shiniest and newest of buildings/infra. And they breed like....you know rats!
If there’s garbage, there’s Rats.

Not sure why you think Chinese subway lines would be bereft of rats.

Did you ever take a Chinese subway?

Did you ever take a Chinese subway?

I don’t need to. It’s a fact.
If there is garbage, rats and roaches will find a way.
Unless you’re telling me Chinese subways and it’s users don’t generate garbage.

China has the longest subway in the world, just ask anyone who took the subways in China had ever seen even one rat or roach, or tell me which city's subway below you want to see I will provide videos.
