There's a difference between them and us, in the 80's and early 90s there was no internet where we can post idiot things and i truly doubt Chinese thought we are as strong as the American Naval force. We had no aircraft carriers, warships not as advanced as the US. Airforce not even comparable to the Americans. Yet this dude here is conveying with the message they can wipe PLAN out with their banana boats.

In the 80s and 90s, if there was a full out conventional war with US in Chinese land, China can defend itself. If there is a full out war with Vietnam, they be burnt toast. That is the difference. I think Hans got it wrong.

Ahahaha.... Sure, archipelago are always big maritime/naval powers. After all, Japan is the only country in Asia who can/has capabilities/has built and operates helicopter carriers. No country in Asia has yet been able to build one, while Japan already has 5. Nice one Nippon. Think you have the most advanced navy in Asia. (After the U.S of course).

Don't underestimate the Royal Navy, they are a force to be reckoned with in Europe. Second, The Royal Navy and both the Marine Nationale -- are both agents of the French and British Governments, whom are allies. Both navies are synergetic to each other -- as past engagements have shown.
