New Photo Of Milgem

There is a new photo of MILGEM, which is quite interesting. It shows that there has been considerable progress in her construction.

* The installation of her main radar Smart-S Mk2 seems to be completed.
* The construction of the ESM antennas located just below the Smart Mk2 seems to be completed as well. The complete ESM system was developed by Aselsan.
* The two STAMP, remotely controlled guns are installed at the both sides of the funnel.
* Under the blue tarpaulin at the top of the helicopter hangar is the Mk-21 RAM surface to air missile launcher. The launcher is either currently being installed or the installation was recently completed.
* Most importantly we can see the aft of the ship now. All photos of TCG Heybeliada since she was launched were showing her from bow on. But now we can see her aft. This means she moved and that further means that the harbor acceptance tests has been started.

I do not suppose Jigs. Besides, I have not met any news related with second Milgem in Turkish defence magazines yet...

The production of the second ship commenced the same the day the first one was launched it has been more then 2 years since that date. So it should be complete pretty soon.

The deal for them fell through i posted about it in the Navy section. Pakistan decided to acquire Chinese 500 ton FACs instead. It may be delayed though. No Agreement is signed atm.

Yes Jigs, It is commenced but Magazines mostly prefer adverting the latest developments of first Milgem TCG Heybeliada in pages. Hope to see TCG Buyukada in a short time...

I guess TCG Buyukada will be done in 2011.They'rent just fast enough.

Yes But It does not have Turkish designed stealthy Cupola seen in design.
