im a azad kashmiri and there r no such laws here. To buy land or settle in the area one has to have Government of AJK's issued ID card. And for that u need to be by birth a Kashmiri.

Off topic but you should know . I am a Gilgiti , somewhat born and raised . And i'd die for my country , we might not be constitutionally Pakistanis , but by heart we are Pakistanis and i'd die for my country .
On topic : Shias still dominate Gilgit . Gilgit has vast number of sects including Ismailis , first of Shia - Sunni conflict is dead in Gilgit , doesn't happens anymore . My father is a local and spends most of his time there . He runs some affairs there time to time . Anyway he has connections to many high personals , he is very much aware of the ground reality , which is : militants were engaged in killing people from different sects and blaming it on Shias or Sunnis . Thus , naturally created a conflict ...... But for your knowledge the situation has died out .
Are you aware of the literacy rate in some of the areas in Gilgit ? Are you aware that many Gilgitis contribute to the Pak Army in many ways . Now i am from the area , and i haven't seen a single person who hates PA , in fact i have many cousins who are serving in Pakistan Army .

To the idiot who wrote this, first off China is involved in many infrastructure projects in GB , for example they were making Gilgit to Hunza once , which is complete now . Now i had personally witnessed almost every worker on that project and many like them were being built by the Pakistani labours .Now this example and many like this suggest that Chinese are only helping the locals by creating more jobs . Thus your point proven wrong .
