Like IB said, Apples and Oranges. You cannot compare both as they have different roles. But you can compare a juicier apple with less sweet one. Pakistan operates this in Waziristan because the RPG-7 takes more time to load and fire. With automatic grenade launcher, you can fire multiple grenades at a time hence giving a stiffer resistance to the enemy.

This in turn would force them to stay in their position or scatter (as it's automatic, second hit is likely to be somewhere near the radius of the first hit) allowing minimal advance forward to the post. The RPG-7 however cannot do this and before the person can launch 2-3 grenades, he would be the center of target of enemy, caught in the line of fire busy reloading the RPG manually.

This proves to be of a better use in defensive strategy.

depending on its range, it is an excellent weapon to use against militant hideouts like caves etc, shoot a few grenades at the enterence of the cave, the explosion will be devestating inside the confined area - eg; bugti's death (sorry to use this example but it was only one i remembered off hand).

Honestly, this gun or whatever it is, looks like from WW2.

Its something which was captured from the Taliban. Lot of the weapons which were captured have been brought into service by the army and given to troops fighting the taliban. From the design it seems russian and an old russian design. :)
