I've never seen this uniform; but this is probably the 4/6th uniform change this year. Could also mean that since this is a new trend, more older uniforms will also be replaced.

Every thing looks so great until you end up looking at the Assault Rifles which are carried by these soldiers and you want to bang your head on the wall.

By the way better helmets and bullet proof vests are also needed. Along with new Assault Rifles with latest optics

Bismillah ir Rahman ar Raheem

Brother, what is wrong with the AK47 / Type 56 as an assault rifle. Isn't it better than a G3 in close combat? What would be the reliability/accuracy advantages of a thrice-expensive Western type for which we would need to stock up on 5.56 mm ammunition. The Type 56 can use a lot of ammo captured from your enemies as well, can it not?

Just asking here.

Hifz u kum Allah

They're FC, which means they're paramilitary, of course they use AKs...at least for now. From what I can gather, the FCs' budget is extremely small, compared to the the army.

FC is being modernized and will eventually take over from Army in FATA

Paying tributes to the FC martyrs, he announced that soon there would be two FC headquarters which will be equipped with modern equipment.

current HQ is at bahisar

I think Pakistan needs to change role of Para Military and give them Tanks if not heavy than light Tanks and Anti Tank vehicles like Centauro 2 and also MRAP and IFV. As economy improves light attack helicopters like z-19 and Z-11 should also come.

They already have tank squadrons & choppers.

Now FC Baluchistan and KPK has their own Tanks (old 100mm gun T59 s refurbished, about 200 were distributed among them) and Field artillery (no ?? 130mm M46s) but in theses area air element is must for support and logistics so they will depend on Army
