New Delhi gang-rape convict to be released after court rejects petition

This rapist better stay in jail where he is protected. He will eventually be lynched for the retribution of raping and killing innocent young girl.

Yay kalay coat walay har jaga aik jaisay hain. May it be India or Pakistan. Congrats we have got something in common too though they are kinda evil's advocates.

Not the fault of the judiciary. They can only rule according to the law. It is the parliament that makes laws. The law of the nation is clear that anybody under the age of 18 cannot be tried in adult courts, or put in real jails. The maximum permitted punishment for a juvenile, no matter how serious the crime, is 3 years in a juvenile home. And the judiciary gave him that punishment, the maximum that they had authority to give.

We hate that he is being released, but it is the law that is at fault, not the judges or lawyers.

. . . . . .
It is better that his own family/village do the deed and then bury the this evil man themselves.
I dont think mob justice is good for society. He got maximum punishment, the adults will probably get death sentence.

Rape is a disease he cannot be cured. The Juvenile age should be lowered to 12 years olds. The 13-18 must be tried as adult with some consideration depending on the crime.

they should probably debate that. We cant have knee jerk reaction to an event. Its the worst possible time to pass a law, when passions are running high.

what is the international norm? whats the law in canada and pakistan?

Someone should do humanity a big favor and kill this $cumbag. No one will miss him.

I did read that and the same law allows ppl under 18 capable of committing heinous crimes a clean chit. If one feels the pain of the victims then they can surely get some ordinance in no time for this specific issue which surely was need of time in this very specific case. It was all about setting up and example which was not done as shud have been. Now U can expect more people shielding under this law. A clean chit give to many as changing law in South Asia meas generations' wait.
The Constitution bars any retrospective acts on criminal law. Basically no law can be enacted post facto so as to increase the incarceration of any citizen of India.

So no ordinance or law can change the outcome of this boy(now man) getting free.

Wat kind of demcracy is this if people cant even change laws?
