There is every reason to gloat, but, as you said, the people at the sharp end of the gloating should realise better in trials than in combat, and they should learn to be less dour and self-righteous and smile.

Let's put it this way, if some Chinese posters were to laugh at the US not ending up in the top 3 of some tank competition (as recently happened) and if you were to take the position that it is silly to mistake that for US incompetence and were to engourage a more mature look at the issue, then it is not fitting, not consequent to turn around and gloat at some mishap of a Chinese team in a similar competition.

Meanwhile, let's not pretend there have not been development or production issues with e.g. Arjun (or any other MBT, for that matter). Work it 'till it breaks.

Its a breakdown and can happen in any equipment built anywhere. US equipment too breaks down but media being biased does not show it. The idea is to embarrass or it avoid it.

And let me also add, as a professional, that as far as those who behave with decency and common courtesy towards me and my countrymen are concerned, of whatever nationality they might be, there has been no cause for complaint ever. Not even with Chinese members until this last phase of excruciating bad manners, arrogance and pompous, condescending criticism, even when it should have been unstinting praise. If you think China is perfect, that Chinese policies are perfect, that Chinese members and their manners and decorum is perfect, I have nothing to say; it is clear that nothing will permeate. On the other hand, it is clear that there is no one left among you to behave and think with rationality and even-handedness; everything becomes immediately an avenue for partisan politics, and propaganda.

The purpose of this thread is nothing but trolling, and you know it just as well as I. You as respected Professional Member of this forum chose to join in this trolling feast, which disappointed me greatly as we had quite few exchanges and you have been giving me an impression you are not one of those trolls.

China is not perfect, but it is years ahead of India in just about everything at this moment; Chinese policies are not perfect, but worth India‘s following; Chinese members' manners are certainly not perfect, but I can choose to be a better one. Instead of jumping into the mud and enjoying the trolling just like those in the low end of spectrum, you could have been more mature and asked some intellectually stimulating questions like @Penguin did.

I noticed that you are fond of accusing China of "copy paste" as the remedy to comfort your own incompetence, just like every Indian trolls whenever facing new Chinese achievement and progress. Both India and China got the opportunity to "copy and paste" Mig-21 in 60's, and the rest is history for everyone to see. Trying to turn your incompetence into the sage of a moral high horse will not get you anywhere, sooner or later, you will have to come back to do this "copy and paste“ to figure out how things work, just like India has to come back to "Make In India", 10 years after pride itself as ”Office Of The World".
