No issues. But people should ask for such numbers and the senate panel or likes must be aware of it and quantify it some lucid form. Eg like how much cm thickness of a certain grade of steel can it pierce or equivalent to in toughness.

They will surely release the numbers as they have done always in the past but it may take some time,Most of the times they release such figures in there annual reports or defence expos's.

I noted this years before. Tanks are not the future in its present form. There too many cheap, effective counter weapons that can and will take a tank out. Future research on tanks should be visualized and developed.

I NEVER worked at DMRL,however i know couple of my seniors who have worked(or still work) in both ARCI and DMRL. I did my interns from BEL on rajendra radar and have attended numerous DRDO seminars and have interacted with a lot of research engineers.
One of my seniors was personally involved in the 120mm MK-2 APFSDS ammunition project for arjun tank that now boasts of a penetration of over 500mm of RHA(~550mm).ARCI has a major contribution in improving the APFSDS ammunition for arjun tank.Previously the mk-1 APFSDS had only a 300mm RHA penetrating capability which has now been rectified with MK-2 capable of doing 550mm

Hi farhan, this is what you should definitely look at,it is yearly report of DRDO for the year 2014.Notce some of the quatitative figures revealed by DRDO for their projects- for instance
(a)the laser guided CLGM has a range greater than 6kms and a penetration of >750mm of RHA(Official DRDO figures)
(b)A higher thrust miniaturized turbofan with 410kgf is has been designed and developed(this is a GTRE project and different from HAL's project)
(c)the MK-2 variant of arjun's APFSDS has a penetration capability in excess of 500mm RHA.
(d)New higher specific heat propellant for pinaka-2 that gives it a range of 65.6kms
(e)MOST IMPORTANTLY, LRDE's project L-273 ,aka AESA radar for LCA has a peak power of <4kW and range in excess of 100kms.I am eagerly waiting for deployment of L237 on LCA mk-2
(f) Manufacturing of prototype of 155mm/52 cal gun designed and developed by DRDO has commenced .It is the first time when DRDO has designed a gun and manufacturing is being done by pvt sector
