new aircraft carrier to make russia powerfull

Any news on 18 destroyers? Any spec and which classes?

Excuse me for multiple post. And thanks once more.
Reconstruction: 7 destroyers of 956 project (Sovremenny class);
1 destroyer of 1155 project (Udaloy Class)
18 for reconstruction is an obvious error, excuse me for that figure :(. Correct is 8.
19 is currently a total number of destroyers in Russian Navy
In the plan building 6 new destroyers for ballistic missile defence.
Specifications couple of days later, especially on new class if I will be able to find something.

The U.S.S. Gerald Ford will be rolling out any day now,and the Kennedy soon to follow along with three more after that. I guess 'powerful' is a relative term.

Newport News (Va.) Shipbuilding will flood Dry Dock 12 on Friday, Oct. 11, to float the aircraft carrier. Susan Ford Bales, daughter of the ship’s namesake and its sponsor, will tour the dry dock with media before flooding begins.

The ship has been under construction since August 2005. It will be christened on Nov. 9. Bales will break a bottle of sparkling wine over the ship’s bow. The hull will be released from dry dock, and set afloat.

The ship is 1,106-feet long. The earliest it will be commissioned is 2015.

With a nuclear power plant to cover power needs, it has an estimated cost of $12.3 billion.

It will be able to carry up to 90 aircraft and launch up to 220 sorties a day.

50k Tonne AC is a midget carrier, with about 25-30 aircraft capability..

The decision to buy two Mistrals has completely political background.

Currently there is no decision about third and fourth ships. Also there are some evidences that in Russia these ships will be further reconstructed, so the data presented at navyrecognition.com may be not correct.

The decision to buy military helicopters (in most of opinions and Mistral too) for Russia seems to be not rational neither from tactical and technical nor from economic points of view. It is the same as if the US going to buy some fighter aircrafts from abroad.
US has bought e.g.

After recent change of policy trends, this project seems to be delayed in favor to the following project.
In January this year Commander-in-Chief of Russian Navy approved the preliminary design of perspective far sea zone destroyer that was submitted by Northern Design Bureau in St. Petersburg. Now engineers are developing a detailed project of the ship and its weapons. The start of construction according to the rearmament plan is scheduled for 2016.

Displacement of the destroyer assumed approximately equal to 12,000-14,000 tons It will be a versatile ship with strike, anti-submarine, antiaircraft capabilities. The main difference from project 21956 will be anti ballistic missile capabilities. Each destroyer will be included in a joint ballistic missile defense system of Russia.
It will be armed with anti-ship missiles, cruise missiles for ground targets, sonar and torpedoes. Anti ballistic missile defense system will be based on naval version of S-500 complex. Self air defence may be supported by Shtil or Polyment-redut (analog to S-350) missile complexes and Kashtan.
The destoyer is going to have new multipurpose multifunctional radar and new command and control system.
Also its power plant may be nuclear but nothing is known exactly.

This is called the support of friends and allies. Now Russia and NATO are not allies, and often contradict each other, such as in Syria.
No it isn't.Your original statement: "It is the same as if the US going to buy some fighter aircrafts from abroad." That's all the qualification you provided...

Obviously a revampted Udaloy design. Anyway, this is a yard design, not any official project. As far a new builds are concerned, Russia is focussing on projects 20380 (corvette/light frigate) and 22350 (frigate/destroyer).

If there is no official project, then from what it may follows that it "Obviously a revampted Udaloy design"?
Displacement, power plant, armament and all control systems going to be different.

It follows from my visual inspection of the pictures. It IS very much a mod Udaloy, just like the Talwar class is a mod Krivak. Same propulsionplant and layout, same basic hull. Just with modern goodies aboard. And it has been in the new from 2007: if it were a program, stuff should have been building by now. It is just something by he yard. Like most yards, Severnoye does it's bit to capture the attention of potential customers.
