New 4 Little Dragons in Asia

outdated figure. when I joined pdf in 2012, vietnam export was $100b. two years later, 2014, we reached $150b.
this year 2015 expected to be close $180b, next year 2016 more than $200b. most of our export products come from manufacturing factories.

yes, we are litle worm, while you are a big worm. what a retard.

Indonesia is not a Dragon nor big nor little because we are a Garuda. And we will flying high.

Yeah, we are going to exceed I trillion nominal GDP soon inshaALLAH, and has become the 9 largest economy in the world based on PPP basis, leaving behind Britain as number 10 at 2014 (IMF). Only China, Japan, India, and Indonesia in the top ten as Asian Nations representation.

Little dragon doesn't fit us, we should be like.

1. Garuda (Java Eagle)

2 Real Dragon (Komodo)

I have checked the link on World Bank and further processed the data as below:

Manufacturing, Value Added (Current US$)
Untitled2.png

Untitled.png

Key Findings:
  • Indonesia is indeed a huge Tiger (if we group the five as "Tigers"), with manufacturing value added exceeding $ 205 billion in 2013, ranking world #13 (India ranked #11 with $223 Bln, Mexico #12 with $215 Bln), that's massive! Despite already being a giant, the growth between 2005~2013 is still as fast as 162.6%, very impressive.
  • Thailand and Malaysia have smaller population and relatively developed economies, while being manufacturing powerhouses, growth would remain steady however slower than their peer tigers.
  • Despite having a low base to start with, the fastest growth belongs to Vietnam which has grown 176.4% between 2005~2013, the future is very optimistic.
  • Philippines have relatively small manufacturing sector, though growth potential is fairly optimistic.

InshaALLAH.

I prefer the mythical Garuda though, Mighty.
Javan eagle is not that menacing, Komodo is a lizard -poisonous and sneaky- while tiger is too common. :)

.
Turn out that in the land of mystical symbolism, Garuda always become a challenger for Dragon.

But we are cozy with china for the betterment of the two country. And of course for the world peace :)

Sri Lanka has a higher GDP per capita than many of the ASEAN countries and it's very close to Indonesia. I wonder why Sri Lanka hasn't joined ASEAN yet when it should have happened a long time ago.

India might get paranoid and cunty ... ASEAN has to join Akhand Bharat, like Sri Lanka

The "Factory Asia" concept is in the making, let all Asians be optimistic!
  • Since the Industrial Revolution embarked in 1870's, Asia has been trying to get on the bandwagon of industrialization and modernization. According to World Bank data, by year 2013, 10 Asian countries are among the Top-30 of the world in terms of manufacturing value added (current US$), compared to 11 EU countries in the same list.
  • Moreover, 3 Asian countries occupy the top 5 spots, and world #1 is also Asian.

ha ha ha ...you believe to world bank data, but not mine? I need´ t prove my stat at all.
do you know who delivers the world bank with data? if you can answer this question, you will find out the real truth. or close to it.

by the way, you should stop bragging of to be a natural leader of asean. there is no such thing in asean, least in the real world. you have nothing to show off, from education to economy to infrastructure to army. or can you underline your bragging with data?

From education....? You just can refer that in term of basic school ( elementary/ high school). In truth, we can only be said clever when we can perform well on university and real life. Just check Boeing company at Seattle USA, you can see some Indonesians teaching Americans, Indians and Bangladeshi junior engineers there.

Do you know who runs the world bank now ?

This woman, Indonesian

PISA shows indonesia ranks at the bottom. one or two highflyers does not change any in the great picture.

and at all, you don´t get the point!

the chinese clowns claim 90% of the SC Sea, because as they say that is their natural right.
indonesian clowns claim to be the boss of asean, as you say that is your natural right.

do you see any difference between chinese and indo clowns? I don´t.

by the way, how many dollar you get from the chinese? I never hear you really protest or show anger about chinese claims in the SC sea, yes, chinese claim a part of our territory. and you as the "boss" does nothing. where were you when they deployed oil rig and warships into our water? I guess if the chinese start a new war against vietnam, you will applaud them.

Haha.. as the "boss", we get SCS operation center from USA, $ billions investment for global maritime fulcrum program from China, and more $ billions infrastructure investment from Japan.

The grunts always move around recklessly in anger and make the first strike, only to get badly injured later. cool your head.

This will become a long "struggle". We need to play smart, tactically and strategically. We need long endurance if we ever wanna get to the finish line. Take one case for example :

Before the Djuanda declaration initiative in 1957, Indonesian territory is seperated one from another. So our leaders made a move and put a claim on arcipelagic nation right.
juanda1.jpg

With series of diplomatic battle, finally around 1982 we can gain the international recognition for our archipelagic status and expand our territory 2.5 fold or jump to 4 fold if we count the EEZ. Now, that's what you called smart.
juanda2.jpg

And who knows, we might further expand our grip over this region in the future.

1. Well mate, the truth is that Indonesian that initiated ASEAN first. OK I will tell you the history, in the past we had so many military adventure. We challenge every one during Soekarno leadership, we bombed Singapore land ( at that time was still Malaysia land). Fighting commonwealth nations plus Malaysia.

There was no cohesiveness at SEA region during that moment, thats why after Soekarno was taken down, Soeharto came to several leaders in the region like Mahathir and Lee Kuan Yew talking about that idea (making ASEAN). Showing that Indonesia is not going to repeat his aggressiveness anymore and will act to unite the region instead. So history just has shown that, in truth, ASEAN was initiated by just one person, Soeharto.

But I dont want to play as a big boss here, we just ordinary person at this moment, not a current leader. We just talk about the game played by the leaders over there. No one should feel superior and inferior based on how big their nation is, it is our individual achievement that should be the parameter to compare, if someone wanting to do that of course.

2. Nope, we are not going to applaud that. There is no hate feeling between Indonesian and Vietnamese. Our region is too far away to each other, no border dispute between us either. Currently we just play soft power rather than hard one. Trying to broker between the claimants in SCS. If we are siding into anti-China camp, China can even take aggressive move, thinking that there will be nothing to loose to do any military approach as every body are already against them. It is just like a cornered Tiger is even more danger than a free one. Something that should be understood in psychological context, since even a leader is still a human, and we have seen many war was caused by illogical reasons, more emotional triggered one.
