What's new

nEUROn stealth UCAV first drone in the world to fly in formation with other aircrafts !

A world's first... and it's in France! ;)

@PARIKRAMA @Abingdonboy @MilSpec

Thats why India should work with Dassault, Snerma, Thales and seek help if needed for its AURA and broadern the Post Rafale partnership.

That's why I always says that the OEM which can really help India in its LCA project is Dassault and GE, and others is just a hosh bag excited to take a pie. AURA is needed along with FGFA along with Rafale if you take on the enemy, which have 5th Gen capable assets and Stealth combat planes.

How can Neuron be the first, US UCAVs has performed aerial refuelling. If that don't count as formation flying, I don't know what does....

Civilian aircraft was the idea, my frozen bird buddy!

Of course , the first in question is very specific but it shows
one maker having a UCAV and fighter and civilian jet together.*
Others could have done it but Dassault did and might have just
doesn't equate to did it.

Mind you, the special case here is also that this flight took place
in public. Loops in Woomera or over Area 51 are fine and useful
but trusting your products can safely pass over thousands of folks
without mishap is quite another level?

Keep that egg balanced on your palmed feet and have a cold day, Tay.

* Also 3 ACs & not 2 as in refuelling.

Forgetting that SAAB participates in the nEUROn programme...

Who is SAAB ???

What is needed is the help of Scnerma, Thales, and Dassault, and SAAB could keep concentration on its Truck Design, and investing in Paid Media, in the Hope they could get some Indian market, and the same Indian cheap labour to lower down its cost, so that it could remain competitive in the International market. One thing is sure, your Designer are pretty good specially those who design marketing Brouchers.

As far as AURA is concerned, rest assure, India, want it to fulfill the Indian requirement, and export is the last we will think and nobody is asking for Flight Data of the nUERON a tech demostraor of which SAAB is also a partner. India might seek and gets enough tech. from Israel, US or Russia, but by getting Dassault help in flying wing design, Stealthy Air intake, and M88 engine till Dry thrust Kaveri engine Derivative gets mature enough. That will give a push to the AURA program, and speed up the project. As far as JV to develop and produce with Dassault, its too early to speculate any thing yet at this moment but if I have to speculate, than any joint venture would be Strategic and Big.

Saab Group (originally Svenska Aeroplan AB, later SAAB and Saab AB) is a Swedish aerospace and defence company, founded in 1937. From 1947 to 1990, it was the parent company of automobile manufacturer Saab Automobile. Between 1968 and 1995, the company was in a merger with commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania-Vabis, known as Saab-Scania. In 1995 Saab-Scania was divided by Investor AB into two independent companies, de-merging into Scania AB and Saab AB.

Saab Military Aircraft and British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) formed in 1995 the joint venture company Saab-BAe Gripen AB, to manufacture, market and support Gripen internationally. This co-operation was extended in 2001 with the formation of Gripen International for the same purpose.

From 1998 until 2005 the largest shareholder in Saab was the British aerospace company BAE Systems, following its acquisition of a 35% stake from Investor AB by its predecessor, British Aerospace. In January 2005, BAE Systems reduced its shareholding to 20%. Investor AB maintained a 20% share.

16 November 1999, Saab announced its intention is to purchase Celsius AB and the acquisition was concluded by early March 2000. Celcius AB produces defense products such as weapon systems, intelligent missiles, naval systems and military aviation solutions. Celsius also provides maintenance services and upgrades.

In December 2005 Saab joined the Dassault nEUROn project as a major partner.

In March 2010, BAE Systems sold half of its 20% stake in the company to Investor AB, which then became the major shareholder. In June 2011, the British company eventually sold its remaining stake bringing its 16-year involvement in Saab to an end.As of June 2012, Investor AB owns a 30% stake in the company (39.5% of the voting rights) and is the majority owner

Whether Truck or Ricshaw, the dirty games what SAAB is playing in India, makes me feel, that its better to keep distance from SAAB for Gripen. It could get a good chunk of order for the Sensors like Mission computer, LWR, MAWS, RWS for the combat Hellicopter fleet in India, but the way they are pushing the propaganda, paid news, CM of maharastra dying to setup plant for the Gripen Production unit near Nasik I don't want any more scandal just like Augasta westland and create the mess.

Zebra buddy, how about this :

the dirty games what SAAB is playing in India, makes me feel . . .

like they play the ball like the US especially as a BAe division
since that group is very American by now anyway ...

which also happens to be a role that the other Brit product can't
since by being MMRCA L2, it's out of the running?

You know, product placement?

Tay.
