Netherlands to operationalise field hospital in Bagh
ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): The government of Netherlands, keeping in view the urgent medical needs of the thousands of injured due to the Oct 8 earthquake announced setting up a mobile field hospital for three months in Bagh as part of the NATO Disaster Relief Operation.
The field hospital with 115 staff will have an initial capacity of 25 beds which will be enhanced to 60 and will be
operational by next
The Netherlands will also provide 500 arch tents (family tent) capacity approximately for 8-10 persons, 150 heaters, 5000 blankets, 125 mattresses, 120 stretchers and one multi purpose community tent of 160 metres sq.
The shelter materials will be arriving over the weekend in Islamabad.
This is in addition to the financial and in kind contributions of Dutch commitment of Euro 14 million to the UN Flash Appeal.
