Nepal Says no to military drill in India ....

Nepal's Defence minister Ishwor Pokhrel tells journalists that Nepalese Army will participate in BIMSTEC drills only after a political agreement on military drills is signed by BIMSTEC member states.


Main reason is the Nepalese opposition and political leaders questioned the government as Nepal army participated in exercise without any written agreement

But Nepalese PM Oli proved he is a friend of India by defending the BIMSTEC drill in parliament:

Sep 5, 2018- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has defended the joint military exercise among the armies of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) member countries as a “friendly gesture” amid growing criticism of the drill from within the party and the opposition.
