Oli would announce his resignation from the floor of the House, and submit it to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari soon after Parliament session is adjourned

As defeat stared on his face, Prime Minister K P Oli has decided to tender his resignation from the post without facing the vote on the No-Confidence in the afternoon.

According to an aide to the Prime Minister, Oli would announce his resignation from the floor of the House, and submit it to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari soon after Parliament session is adjourned Sunday.

He will also be recommending to the President that Article 305 meant for removing any unforeseen hurdle in the implementation of the constitution be invoked in order to dispel the prevailing confusion in the constitution in electing a new Prime Minister once Oli is out.

That paves the way for election of Maoist Chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal who has been backed by the Nepali Congress, to the post.

//He was more China focused than his predecessor but the who is to say the new PM wont be the same way.

Prachanda of course has affiliations and sentiments to China (just look at the name of his group)....but he is more pragmatic fellow and wont deliberately antagonise India like this Oli guy did in stealth wherever he could (and paid for it).

Prachanda is more direct open fellow that does not disguise who he is. It must be said Prachanda despises the capitalism and on the ground anti-maoism in China....thats why China was more comfortable working with Oli rather than a red guard type of fellow stuck in the 60s/70s politically and economically.

Oli’s fall is good news for India, Prachanda likely to be next PM

similarities breed contempt, reds never get along with each other. India is a good excuse for these incompetent morons , opposition will say govt is pro-india and govt will say India is providing support to opposition to topple them.
The merry go round will continue and they will ask china for alms citing India. Weak & cowards are the most disgusting ppl to deal with.

We should do what we need to regarding their govt. Maintain interaction and try to be as friendly as possible but be stern where needed.

Its people to people links that matter in the end...and they will hopefully ultimately elect leaders that are more pragmatic and friendly to India for everyone's best interests.
