Nepal govt denies reports of arms import from India

Kathmandu, Jan 19 (PTI) Nepal has refuted Maoists' allegation that Nepalese army had purchased arms and ammunitions from India.

The army had acquired 100 vehicles including trucks, gypsies, water tanks and ambulances but not weapons as alleged by the Maoists, Nepalese defence minister Bidya Bhandari said yesterday ahead of Indian army chief Deepak Kapoor's visit to Nepal.

She, said there would not be bulk integration of the Maoists combatants into Nepal's army.

"For any decision on integration of Maoist combatants, the defence ministry and Nepal army should agree," she said.

The Maoists had boycotted the Legislative Parliament yesterday alleging that the government had acquired arms from India in violation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

No there are sub texts to it, you have to become communist and suppress human rights like china.

The China is claiming some of Japanese territory, Vietnamese islands, whole of Taiwan so Nepal or any other nation have to seriously think about the real intentions of China and on the other hand India has no such intentions.

why always judge india by tank, lca etc etc. Yes we can't build it but we good at buying best quality. Nepal will benefit by it. Look what we done to CPM of india. China couldn't save CPM just like it can't save maoist of nepal.

i think china responsible to make pakistan what pakistan is today. Same thing china goverment want to do with small countries around india. Am happy knowing india now helping nepal, bangladesh and shri lanka. It will benefit not only to india but also to them.
