Both of them are awesome.

. . .
Verna sells more than both Ciaz and City.

Other cars in the category would be Vento and Rapid.
Only thing preventing me from buying Rapid would be Maruti service.

Dont like it

Which one of the two,,,verna sx or city v

U r right,,city is abit comfy thn verna.
N yes it wud be mostly me driving.
Thing is verna sx doesnt come wid push start,,i thought it was basic,,its only present in the top sx(0) variant,,,but thn it also has the sunroof which i loathe,,thn again city(v) is similay priced to petrol top model verna sx(0),,just abit more.

Thanks,,i have taken note.
Btw,,,hyundai also has a habbit of coming up wid new updates pretty frequently,,depreciating the resale value

How abt all of 1,2,3 in an order of 3>2>1

1. Forget the resale value - you are getting a car for 5 years - you might as well make the most of your money now than worry about that.

2. Push stop/start - while a cool feature, should not be a deal breaker. It is a gimmick which will please you for the first few weeks.

3. You will get good discounts on most sedans - people are just not buying sedans, they prefer Mini SUVs.

4. I suggest get either the top variant or the second highest. Factory fitted Sunroofs are typically from Webasto and they are excellent - if you keep it shut, you won't even realize it exists. The problems in cars happen with aftermarket sunroofs.

I don't wish to change your opinion, but with your budget have you considered the S-Cross or the Creta?

I like German Whips. Though Japanese are reliable.

German cars are boring and look run of the mill taxis
Japanese are far better if you want indestructible car buy Corolla or Camry , I have a Camry 1993 and is strong .
New AD wagon is very very strong and getting popular now may even replace touring wagon the bullet proof all rounder .

If you want fun fun fun buy Nissan skyline maybe the best car ever made - and strong engine if you don't over rev It and great investment prices are going through the roof .

Out of the three I'd chose none and buy any Toyota instead

. . .
I have a city for past three years, given the choice i would again buy it in hindsight. Its spacious, mileage is awesome, maintenance is minimal, even my tyres lasted longer. Verna, is not spacious is very tight in the back seat, also mileage leaves a lot to be desired.

hello ppl,
I am thinking of buying a car but have not been able to select between hyundai verna, maruti ciaz n honda city.
Advice n suggest
Verna
a52ZKG

Ciaz
Hf7uqv

City
rNfeXm

Depends on the requirement :

If you like to drive, There never consider Ciaz , it is underpowered outdated, and fun to drive quotient is way below everyone in the segment, However, it is a perfect family car, with Maruti unbeatable network and reliability. Also is more than a lakh cheaper than other similar models.

Honda City is a perfect package with the great reliability of Honda, good fuel economy, drivability, and features. Best overall package.

I have not driven the new Verna, but on paper, it beats City. 1.6 Liter engines (shared with Creta) is extremely peppy and has good specs

Now the German ones, Skoda Rapid / VW Vento share same platform/engine. Solid European long-lasting build quality plus best in class safety. Cons high cost of ownership compared to others, limited service network. I would pick Rapid over Vento as Vento design is old and has not received a facelift since ages.

Now if you are really into driving then you can try Fiat Linea 1.4 T Jet, Fun quotient is at another level, but it comes with a long list of cons (Fiat's limited presence, Linea sales are around 60-100 per month (same numbers for Ciaz/ City / Verna are in range of 5000) so I not sure how long the will continue this model and there might be spares issue in future etc .)

.
Verna now advertised by Miss Mizoram.

I will buy it, just for Miss Rody,:smitten: otherwise city is wise decision.

. .
why drive when you can take Uber, look at the cost of maintaining a car

Buy the Honda amaze cvt petrol,
It has big sofa like rear bench, great leg room, 400 litre boot and the ivtec engine is fun to drive. Please take a test drive of this car before your final decision.
You will save couple of lakhs by buying this rather than city.
Invest the difference for tension free life.
No bro,,i'll rather buy a mini suv or somtng like jazz
Or a bike with a sidecar.
