Nobody knew what Mahathir did until it was too late. There are dissatisfaction within the BN coalition on this issue. Judging on the political climate, they wont risk it. If Malaysia take in 1 person, 100 person will come. Japan should welcome them instead.

The main factor they gave citizenship to those people is Sabahan allow UNMO to operate in the state. There is no way to stop them now as they become too powerful.
At this stage, Sarawak is still quite safe from 'directly' influence by UNMO (although doesn't mean we are better )

I seriously doubt Malaysia will let them stay in the country. May be only small amount of people.
There are quite large number of refugee in Malaysia without proper permit.

Current gov got bigger problem to fix at the moment (try to stay in power, internal power struggle in UMNO).
If some Malaysian doesn't give a shxt about the well-being of their countrymen (if you get what i mean), no 'one' will care about those outsider.

Aung San Suu Kyi can do little to really provide permanent solution on this matter. She has no real power now. Once Myanmar can pull free and fair election without military intervention, then maybe something can be done about this situation.

Can ask the western power to put some sanction on the current gov to solve the issue, like what they did previously.
It is just sad that their countrymen don't recognize them (those refugee) as their own. And no 'other' nations willing to accept them.

All right-minded nations and Muslims from all over must pressurize BD to train, arm and send back the Rohingyas to fight for their survival in Arakan. BD is the core factor without which geographically/logistically the Rohingya Mujahedeen cannot sustain.

So- called Rohingya are immergrants from Bangladesh.. they were taken by the British to fill the lack of human resources in agricultural sector. hence u cant search the name of Rohingya in any books which established in the early period of British colony.. this name come out in 1960s.. then they tried to separate and started rebellion against the gov..

They are not our original ethnic.. so we cant accept as ethnic minorities but permanent resident status which can obey and fit with our 1982 immigration Act...

there're about 1.5m So-called Rohingya in Arakan now.. We are preparing to award citizenship some of them who fit with ours.. Here we faced some shock problems.. They want citizenship but refuse to pay respect even our national flag and our law.. even to give family data..!! (a family has at least 15 its members).. And we also faced the case of legal immigrants from BD every days like India.. Frankly, we dont have enough to patrol.. So they came with boats to Rohingya villages then when we arrested them , they run to villages and disappear.. Population grew in multiple times in a few years in such way.. all want of half of immigrants coming to Myanmar is not to live in Myanmar but just take a rest to go Third Country under the famous name of Rohingya..

Rich Saudi ruler must invest in Rohingya area in Myanmar, all employee should be Rohingya. Indonesia companies should invest in Rohingya area too. Currently our state owned companies invested in Myanmar but I dont know whether the area is Rohingya area or not. Myanmar regime must invest in the infrastructure and Muslim nations should invest at that place largely. Win win situation for both Myanmar regime and Muslim World.

Sorry Indonesia and Malaysia. Bangladesh should have solved this Rohingya problem on its own. Problem is poor political leadership and poor economic performance, that cannot attract more investment and create more jobs. Hopefully things will improve in the future, so people (including Rohingya's) can live and work in Bangladesh, and not risk their lives to migrate to other lands.

How about we (ASEAN+) build and use SCS islands to provide them with temporary shelter before UN send them back to their country of origin or resettle them to other countries that can grant them citizenship.
