For the second time in two days, half of India plunged into darkness after the Northern and the Eastern Grids collapsed, affecting all seven states in the north and the states of Sikkim, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand in the east.

just happen at 1pm IST. This time both Northern and Eastern grids are are down. A total of 15 states are currently without power other then emergency services..
1)Jammu and Kashmir
2)Haryana
3)Punjab
4)New Delhi
4)U.P
5)Bihar
6)Orrisa
7)Himachal Pradesh
8) Uttarakhand
9)Rajasthan
10) All North-eastern states
A total 600 million people are affected. And you could have watched our minister giving briefing to media. He was talking with such ease as if its all normal.
Hope it will get restored in couple of hours as stated by Minister to media half an hour ago.

On topic: Lets hope the crisis solve quickly as its Ramadan and also Hospitals dont have backup for too long.... Back in 90s my father had operation in torch lights because of power grid failure and backup generator problems.
