Typical western report will hype up China aggression movement while
Ignoring others. Vietnam has long started shoal building since early 2000 and aggressive militaries many of its islet and expanding them and yet the western media will never tell you such thing. Yet they never claim this action as changing the status quo. Same as Japan who first nationalise the diaoyutai island.

Instead of pointing at China and claim as aggressive. Why not look at Indian pushy and aggressive policy towards its neighbour? There is a reason why bangladesh and Nepal has serious problem with India.

Japan was stripped of military capabilities which is only a very small part of WWII result. You should be restricted to the 4 islands decided by the winners. You should sincerely accept the war loser, as like you are humble enough to USA, otherwise your future is becoming more gloomy. Last time, becuase China and Russia's maritime capacity were limited, so only the one USA occupied Japan after WWII. You should pray for Japan has another lucky next time.

Seriously though, you think these little exercises mean anything? China's navy is growing far faster than America's and will for the foreseeable (and unforeseeable) future. Time is on China's side, and China has all the time in the world.

DF-21 isn't simply fire-and-forget like a regular ATGM, it requires systems to keep the missile on target all the way up and all the way down including a phase or reentry which there is temporary loss of communication. So disruption of those relaying systems, jamming, and maneuvering of the carrier all effect the performance of those missiles.

I don't think time is on China's side anymore. It was a prospect before various countries developed defense relations which meant that they could be dealt with 1 on 1. The foundation of the network of defense relations have all been developed in the last couple of years.

The US just commissioned its first Ford-class carrier. Just that carrier alone is more capable than both of China's current carriers. In 10 years, both India's and Vietnam's GDPs will be much higher today than they are now so they'll start to develop fair greater capable militaries. Japan's defense spending still has room to go up. All around, there's too much even for a country as big as China.
