This is most stupid content I read today, in 50's, 60's China had not signed Peace Treaty with Japan after WWII. Neither Russia have done it till now!

Japan and ROC signed a peace treaty in 1952 called the Treaty of Taipei. The relinquishment of territory did not include the Senkaku islands. In accordance to the treaty, Japan relinquished Formosa, Pescadores islands, Spratly Islands, and Paracel Islands. The Senkaku islands are part of the Ryukyu islands.

For PRC's case, if they felt that the Senkaku islands belonged to them in the 1950s and 1960s, then they wouldn't have maps saying "Senkaku" on them. One would think that the lack of formal diplomatic relations doesn not matter in this regard. If you feel something belongs to you, then you say it on your own will. South Korea was not a signatory of the San Francesco treaty either, and while ROC did sign a treaty with Japan, South Korea did not, just like PRC. Yet South Korea responded immediately with its claim that Takeshima belonged to Korea and not Japan.

Actually I watch NDTV more nowadays because I find some of the other channels too shrill.
Their is no doubt their agenda is anti BJP.
Every day they give long coverage to a loser like Rajiv Gandhi and ppl like lalu Prasad while not covering stories which embarress the Congress.
Eg they are totally ignoring the sasikala jail story , even though it's a obvious human interest story , with a honest cop exposing corruption in high places , and being hounded for it. The local govt is Congress and the channel is owned by Congress functionaries.
All pakistani claims are prominently displayed by the channel while Indian claims are relegated to also ran.
Yesterday they gave a lot of prime time to Pak ambassador basit , and he was busy disseminating Pak propaganda on national TV.
