Nobody can compete with China in basic goods manufacturing except now the Vietnamese and even there the factories set up by Chinese/Taiwanese.

TBH everyone is investing in India I don't see the problem.

that is fine on the face of it.
I mean we have mutual trade even if of a modest proportion
but with such position the question arises of conflict of interest. it was not just India but his business interests in "Muslim" Arab state that got him sacked. while holding public position of the highest level . one needs to declare and or let go his/ her foreign interests that can affect his job functions and compel him to do things he doesn't want to.

in a hypothetical sense if Sherif feels the Modi's heat and possible sacking of his businesses in India unless he says (or doesn't say) what India tells him then he is pretty much sterilised and a foreign puppet

Panama Papers are enough to get the ball rolling legally to open investigations. They have yet to be proven or taken a hit to credibility.

If you're assuming that the credibility lacks because an Indian businessman/woman isn't going to invest in Pakistan? Ok.
