SC's verdict to annul Senate polls came as Nawaz's decisions as PML-N chief were nullified.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former secretary of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Kanwar Dishad has asserted on Wednesday that Supreme Court of Pakistan s (SCP) verdict in Nawaz Sharif s party chief case annuls Senate elections 2018 which were scheduled for March 3, 2018.

The top court delivered the verdict in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and former premier Nawaz Sharif’s case concerning an amendment in the constitution last year that re-elected him as the party chief after disqualification under Article 62 and Article 63 on July 28, 2017.

The apex court disqualified Nawaz Sharif as the party president in the verdict served today which was reserved earlier in the day.

All the decisions taken by the former premier in capacity of president of ruling PML-N stand annulled including issuance of tickets to party candidates to contest Senate polls this year.

Major decisions taken by Nawaz Sharif since his re-election as party chief in October 2017 include issuance of ticket to Pir Iqbal Shah to contest by-election in Lodhran constituency NA-154 and to those contesting then forthcoming Senate elections.

Iqbal Shah had beaten Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf s (PTI) Ali Khan Tareen with a convincing margin in the by-election.

Elections Reforms Bill 2017

After his ouster last year, the party moved Elections Reforms Bill 2017 in the National Assembly (NA) to have him re-elected as the party chief since he relinquished the seat following his disqualification in accordance with the law.

A session of the National Assembly approved the bill late September and was signed by President Mamnoon Hussain to enact the law by the night of October 2nd.

Interim president of PML-N Shehbaz Sharif had chaired a meeting of the Central Executive Council (CEC) of the party in Islamabad that approved amendment in the party constitution to pave the way for Nawaz s appointment despite disqualification.

The amendment in the PML-N’s constitution was moved by interim general secretary Ahsan Iqbal leading sacked premier Nawaz Sharif to party president s office.

NO SPECIAL TREATMENT, TIME MANAGEMENT AND DOING THINGS ON TIME IS IMPORANT AND FOLLOWING LAWS IS IMPORTANT

Sanate Election should proceed with Normal process because other parties of Pakistan did not made error

This is like a sport event if someone is not qualified due to Ban they cannot lead anyone
If a team fields some one by his authorization , the team is banned and tournament continues as scheduled

This is like a University application , if person has mistakes in paperwork or wrong format the application is not approved

This is like a Bank when if wrong person's signiture is there the Loan applicaton is cancelled

This is like a Case where a Mafia wanted to be leader of Humanitarian institute and he wants to run things with Blood money , he is discharged illegal funds and criminal background

But every one else is allowed to do their business who followed rules and Law.
There is no need to "Make special provisions for mistakes comitted by a disqualified man"

A political party that breaks laws of Pakistan should not be a SPECIAL CASE that rest of Pakistan has to wait for them to fix their paperwork

Laws of PAKISTAN > PML (Illegal desires)

Political Parties who followed Law of state and respected the rules and got their Paper work on time have 100% Right to contend to election on Time , reason being they valued the laws of Pakistan


PML made a choice when after Supreme Court's decision they acted against interest of state and choose a disqualified man to sign their paperwork


Pakistani want election to take place as old schedule minus disqualified candidate , Pakistan need not wait for few folks who could not get their obligations done correctly based on Laws of Pakistan

I have a question what is the difference between mqm altaf hussain and pmln nawaz sharif? Why everyone is not comparing what nawaz is doing to what altaf hussain did? one attack media house other attack court . One said bad things about army other said bad things about supreme court+army but may be nawaz is of punjab and punjabi party is that's the reason?

I blame the establishment and dirty PPP and PMLN for allowing altaf dog to go on mayhem in Karachi, if they at the time in the 90's when the situation in Karachi was very deadly, they should have banned his speeches on media and carried out a operation similar to the one carried out by the Rangers a few years ago, when they rounded up all the suspects, you can see the results security situation in Karachi has changed for the better.

PMLN may now designate Nawaz Sharif as Party Quaid, Rahnuma or Rahbar... SC decision would not affect/disturb PMLN party-politics or strength; but Senate number in the short run. PMLN GE tickets will not be awarded unless by NS consent.
