Navy selects Sea King helicopter for Fleet Tanker

Sounds like you're talking about Amphibious Assault Ship.

Tankers and *** have different missions. Even a 'limited force' you're talking about tens of millions of dollars in equipment.

And taking a vessel without any defensive capabilities within striking range of coastal and aerial defenses.
Sorry tankers are like fire ball let them have minimal. Exposure to enemy fire

New sea king helicopter or existing old sea kings with PN would be used

Chinese Z 8 or Russian KA 27 or KA 31 are good options too

. . . .
No price stated yet.

They're still in service as the 330 rescue squadron (my old squad) shows with a recent student training op in Sola:

The first of our twelve ordered AW101s hasn't even been delivered yet and is undergoing flight testing, with its first flight being on March 21st, 2016. So it'll be a while before they're offered for sale...

Pakistan has also signed signed deal with AW for AW139s

I think what delta marine is suggesting that the tanker can accommodate both sea kings and the Chinese z9ec helos which are in PN inventory.

Even so, what are the alternatives' situation to meet the requirements?

Take Sea King for example. It is able to carry modern ASW/ASuW munitions but how about its performance and sensors? AFAIK the newest built versions have been built with composite rotors compared to early built versions.

Sea King itself is primarily an ASW oriented platform with enhanced SAR roles. It was merely designed for submarine hunting at blue waters so I wouldn't place it under a multi-mission category.

For surface combatants, ASW oriented helicopters can be accepted for some extent as they have their own sensors and weapons for other sorts of naval warfare. But when the matter is installing an auxiliary naval vessel that has a long hull and weight, namely the tankers; it is important to adopt a multi mission platform that not only it's armaments but also it's sensors are enhanced in all ways of ASW and ASuW. I believe this is where platforms like Sea King lack when considered for such assignments. But of course I don't know how modernized the Pakistani Sea Kings are.

Great achivement for our Navy slowly but step at time it is taking modest steps
Best part certainly that it was Made 100% in Pakistan , with Turkish support

I wish we can get some new images of the Crew / Steering - Command Area

Strangely I don't ever recall anyone disclosing the Price for this Ship

Sea King is capable of launching Matra Martel based Sea Eagle (IN uses/used that Westland Sea King and the Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King), MBDA Exocet (AM-39 block 1 in use by Peruvian navy ASH-3D Sea King). It also can fire MBD Sea Killer/Marte missile (e.g. Mk1 and Mk2 used by Italian navy SH-3D in the past) Sensor fits may vary by user and by whether or not modernized over time.

Sea Kings are so old and not even produced anymore, I think we should move on to new technology. Got to admit that Sea Kings are robust though...

1600 tons difference between the basic ship and as implemented for PN needs.
