you just need to land in GOA airport to see these magnificent beasts up close. what most people don't know is that there is a naval museum just behind the airfield . with even a harrier parked out there. its open to public . has a lot of deactivated weapon systems there. if you get a chance check it out.

Dont worry whether India has advanced weapons systems or not ... The overhaul of these beasts is to ensure we have extended the lifetime of Maritime aircrafts until the latest P-8s arrive 2013 onwards !

FYI : Indian Navy has 12 P-8 aircraft on order with deliveries beginning in 2013. A total of 24 is planned to be ordered.

The Russian Bear has an enormous range which is more than enough for us to protect our coast line, besides these birds are not useless. Apart from the dedicated ASW role it can be used as long range bomber. Feel the heat when U learn when it is fitted with any Cruise missile.
Intercepting this aircraft is not that easy as some feel(all photos U posted could be deceiving).
That plane is coming to my home town.....

Am I wrong in thinking the IN has plans to have Bhramos fitted to their TU-142MEs.
