Simply, Taliban doesn’t want to talk with India. Pakistan also doesn’t want India involved.

If Iran or Kabul government argue India’s cause, they will be kept away from negotiations.

Iran is only a spectator and Kabul has no say.

Talks are mainly between US and Taliban, with Pakistan being mediator.

Well if you are talking about the 90s yeah but this is 2019 I think Iran has much better startegy than it had in the 90s

We share more in common with Afghanistan than we will ever do with Iran or Turkey. Yet we get along recently better with the latter two.

Honestly speaking...Forget India....peace in Afghanistan is in best interest of Pakistan....Feel sorry for the peoplen of Afgans where there fate of living in peace is determined by outsiders...

Pakistan believes india goal is to ravage Pakistan via Afghanistan so its impossible to get peace if india is near by..
Call it paranoia or whatever ...this paranoia exists since era of 1966- 1970s when Pakistan was in denial that India will never interface in east Pakistan..guess what we were wrong India not only interfered but also attacked ...

Turkey and China are allies thats all we share little in common, with China a border, with Turkey a religion but their views on lifestyle, society and pretty much everything is vastly different from us but I still respect their overtures to us and wish for more integration in the future, I always stressed better cultural ties with Iran and the Iranians but the sectarian blowhards always call folks like us majoosi and Saffavid agents hogwash we use their script, cuisine etc and plus many have only met folks in the Iranian diaspora cant compare diaspora with the real Iranians as for Afghanistan they only language they understand is not "brotherhood" or "friendship" its "money" or "dominace" we should domiante Afg

I think Pakistan establishing a UAE/Saudi oil refinery has already done that, originally there was going to be a irani refinery as per what some ppp people said. But the gulf establishing their refinery seems to be a change in policy.

no irán did it before even pakistan did to them. indian iran chabahar agreement is older then pak saudia oil refinery..so they started it and most of all pakistan can block chabahar with in matter of no time. you know how.. because route goes through pakistani waters or near by
