No you see they want you to call them ahmadi because it means they are following Ahmad ergo Prophet Muhammad pbuh as in the Qur'an he is referred by both and the names have the same meaning. So then they say others are non Muslim because we are non ahmedi you get it? It is a play on words they concocted to say they are right.

Actually it's because of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.

Sunnis avoid using names like Ahmad at all these days because pehle zehn wahin jaata hai. Koi bhi Ahmadi ka naam utha ke dekhlo Ahmad zaroor hoga, well 90% of the time.

Muhammad and Ahmad sort of mean the same, but humare Prophet ka naam Muhammad hi tha. We shouldn't be THIS rigid about things. If Ahmadi's say they are naming their community after Mirza Ghulam Ahmad then we should just believe them. I mean there are millions of them, unka boorha jawan, bacha, bacha, sab milke logon ko topi pehna ne main lagay huay hain?

The friend I mentioned his sister said Kalimantan again and became Sunni mashallah when she married one of my aquantince.

Obviously, warna nikah jaiz hi nahi hota.

Point I was making was, they would oppose inter-faith marriages on religious grounds not Pakistaniat grounds.

@Awesome I agree with you I cannot stop them from saying ahmadi but knowing why I can myself not refer to them as such. Yes it is inter faith which is my point because on one hand they will not marry their children to Muslims and on the other haan jee haam bhi musalman hai humare saat zyati hotii hai. It is not just weddings though, different worship grounds, graveyards, and they even have a whole contradictory doctrine than us.

As for zy we were talking about something else, just got quoted in, I was talking about some christians who claim to be sufi.

Ever wondered, unke liay hum non-Muslims hongay? Toh zahir si baat hai, koi Musalmaan, non-Muslim se shaadi toh nahi karsakta na.

You can't deny the fact about zyadati. When they get killed en masse, I would say its zyadati.
