NASA finds crashed Vikram Lander: See image

It was found by an Indian amateur astronomer a while ago, NASA just recently confirmed its location. Good work by all involved.
Aha! I think I just found the next vir chakra recipient in hindustanland.

By the way, what's with the hilarious listing of everything that happened "successfully" (prior to the total abject failure of the mission) in the last 3 paragraphs of this inferiority complex article?

Nandu successfully trimmed his moustache, successfully oiled his moustache, and successfully reviewed his moustache, before being shot down.
There were two parts of the mission, the lander and the orbiter. Before the lander could be released, teh orbiter had to be sent into the moon's orbit. Although the orbiter was successfully launched into the lunar orbit, the lander unforunately did not succeed. The article is simply a recount of all portions of the mission.

ISRO has conducted an inquiry and has determined the cause of the problem, and will hopefully solve it in time for a new attempt next year.

India had expected to make space history with the Rs. 1,000-crore Chandrayaan 2 mission.

It begs the question, how many schools and sanitary hygiene facilities could have been built with this Rs. 1,000-crore?

How many malnourished uneducated souls could have been given a new lease on life and a bright educated future and how many hygiene lapses (and resulting lifelong stuntings) could have been avoided?

A nation has to know it's priorities - and not dwell on vote-winning nationalist 'showboat projects' that is ultimately useless to the average citizen....
