And ISS was co-developed from 15 countries, including Japan as only Asian country in the project. I can't find any aid from China. It's incorrect to call that's US space station.

Why NASA come to China ? I say American is pragmatic, coz after 2020 (or 2025) the ISS what u said here will retire and fall down. At the same time CHINA is the only nation who currently building space station on the earth.

Yes, NASA need to visit China ! Coz when ISS retire after 2020, NASA won't have any existing space station to use. There's only Chinese spacestation - TianGong ! (We didn't read news U.S/Russa plan to new space station yet)

2014, now TianGong-I space station:

2016 / 2018 / 2020 China will launch more capsules to build TianGong, if ppl still fight each other in the earth, until to 2020 there's only one latest Chinese space station "TianGong" in outer space.

After Six years (2020), Chinese space staton "TianGong" will finish ... after ISS retire, it's the only one !

1. 2011.9, China launch "TianGong-1" obital capsule.

2. 2012.6, China "ShenZhou-9" crew capsule connected with "TianGong-I", three Chinese astronauts stayed few days then back to earth.

3. 2013.6, China "ShenZhou-10" crew capsule connected with "TianGong-I", three Chinese astronauts stayed 15 days and Live Show on internet to whole world inside "TianGong-1", then back to earth.

4. 2016, China will lauch one crew capsule + one "TianGong-II" obital capsule + one storage capsule connect with "TianGong-I".

5. 2018, China will lauch one core obital capsule + one experiment capsule N.o1 + one experiment capsule N.o2 connect with other capsules of "TianGong" space station.

6. Near 2022, China will lauch other extra capsules to finally finish Chinese "TianGong" space station building !

Finally im 100% sure the NASA will find China & CASC to talk for both future ! "TianGong" will be the only one space station in outer space, "Made in China". Chinese "TianGong" space station will be as big as ISS has over 10x capsules.

After 2020 Chinese take the chance to exploration of the universe, after "TianGong" space station finished next project is Chinese exploit the Moon.

ISS is partly built by Russian. Supply voyages could be from Japan or Russia.
I don't think that is renting.

American are enjoying ISS benefit. Space Shuttle is another way for them to have the same result. I don't mean there's an active space shuttle program.
And we cannot claim that there'll be not another program in the future.

ISS could last to after 2020, or 2028 is unsure too.
