Narendra Modi's American Exceptionalism

Indian people have 'knowingly' elected a crazy person famous for Gujrat's barbarism. Simply because they would like India to grow. I don't blame them, since Modi just might be the right thing to happen. However, considering the current situation of Muslims living there, and the growing tension concerning (especially) "religious" issues "because" of Modi ... it becomes pretty apparent where this is going.

Meanwhile, some of our Indian fellows are busy taunting Pakistan for attacks at LOC, and thinking Modi as a "peacekeeper", it still fails to explain their violence in occupied Kashmir.

Partially correct.

India has elected Modi for his demonstrated & verifiable track record of development .

Muslims in India do not have problems . Cannot see why anyone else should. In any seeing the news these days is rather depressing for Muslim lover - they are killing each other across Asia. Indian Muslims are safe & have been exercising their democratic rights for 65 + years - something Muslims no where else can claim.

Quote lines, paras from the article to prove your point.

Since you live in the US, educate yourself about American exceptionalism.
The application of that word to India is not an accident. It is a deliberate choice.

Understand American exceptionalism, and you will understand what I am talking about.

You even accuse Pakistani papers of playing to the Indian readers. This is nothing new for you. This is just your usual victimhood taking over.

prejudice ... victimhood...

I LOVE it when I get the Indians' goat and they throw tantrums.

. .
Yeah just as I expected. You can't.

I just did.
If you have trouble reading plain English -- or are too lazy to educate yourself about American exceptionalism -- it is not my fault.

Once again, for readers who are not lazy like you, I urge them to read up on American exceptionalism
The use of that work in this context is not an accident.

More of the same, typical intellectually dishonest response. Just admit that you jumped the gun without reading the article.

I didn't jump anything. I did read the article.

The article talks about Modi (and India's greatness), and the subtext is exceptionalism.
Indian exceptionalism and a less-than-subtle reference to American exceptionalism.

I still don't think you understand the concept of American exceptionalism, and why the use of that phrase if quite significant.

. .
So what is Pakistan?

Another Poland.
Considering we have Shareef Govt, who basically likes to lick the d*cks of America, India or anyone where they'd want to run their business ... yes, its a possibility.

However, if you have failed to get the reference of Hitler. You should remember that Hitler was actually 'elected' by his own people, a fascist person. How is Modi any different (refer to Gujrat Massacare)?

. .
Speaking of intellectual dishonesty, why didn't you quote the full line from my post.
Here, I will do it.

Because those subtexts are your own addition. You failed to prove any of your initial accusations.

The article is all about Modi.

Duh!

The title itself talks about exceptionalism and the choice of that word is significant,

Again, you can either admit that, despite hopping on a plane to the US, you haven't got the faintest clue about American exceptionalism, or you can keep arguing in denial.

PS. Anyway, there's no point repeating this exchange ad infinitum. People who understand American exceptionalism will know what I am talking about. Those who don't will not.

Oh the genius strikes, look he knows about American exceptionalism, must be a genius. Everyone hoping on a plane to the US must know about it.

The title and the content of the article specifies clearly that it is about Modi and the content solely focuses on his speeches. The author does not make a single original comment about India but the perennial victim in you somehow managed find the extraordinary plan in it.

There are lots of articles praising Modi or India. The reason I commented on this article is because of the reference to American exceptionalism. Since you don't understand the concept, you will not understand the subtext.

.
The article is not about Modi at all.

It is not intended to equate Modi to JFK or MLK; it is intended to equate India to USA.
It is a cheap attempt to sell readership by stroking Indian egos and tapping into the Superpower India meme.

Why are you so pissed on this article.
Get a life, not every article that praises someone is about "stroking Indian egos". Trying being rational sometimes, you might enjoy it!!
