It's a start.
But the thing is, these same people were sleeping for a decade, throwing mud at PVN Rao.
Only after realizing that they are going to loose PVN Rao's legacy, these Congress guys have started eulogizing him.

Is it too late though?

These are the same people who treated Rao inhumanely not only when he was alive but worse, when he was dead.
It is hard to digest that fact and get around to this new found love.

Anyway, If BJP is forcing these guys to have a rethink about PVN Rao, good for them.

Btw, you have posted these tweets but you should have also done objective analysis of how PVN Rao was treated as well.

Has there been any tweet from Congress leadership (i.e people that count?). Has Pappu or Maino madam tweeted birthday wishes?

I mean various congress appendages have even supported BJP (Modi, Advani, Vajpayee) at different instances (but I'm not going to take that as indication of support from congress centre)....I'm talking about the core leadership here that sets the political structure of the party and its strategic direction.

Sachin Pilot is a decent fellow that I respect BTW, but still an appendage. The young progressive brigade of Congress must overthrow the corrupt family in the centre somehow for Congress to have a real chance of reforming and participating honourably in the national political discourse.

Young Indians really need to understand that PVN Rao was a truly great PM; He was also behind the economic plans.
These are acknowledged by knowledgeable BJP leaders as well.

But Congress became ineffective and corrupt in its last 10+ years. May be it was the only way Sonia Gandhi could keep it together. Manmohan Singh for whatever reason tolerated the nonsense and might even have become part of the corruption. That is what gave rise to the anti-Congress wave. Ofcourse a charismatic Modi rose up in time and took the day.

We can fault Nehruvian policies in hindsight but remember his focus on institution building and stability is what provided the much needed platform (something that Pakistan could never find). Sasthri, Indira, Desai all played good to great parts regardless of party affiliations, just like Rajiv did and Modi is doing.
