Nano to debut in Taiwan
The land of iPods and green technologies will soon see the world's cheapest car to make its debut on the Taiwan turf. In fact, Theodore Huang, chairman of Taiwan's TECO group is very confident of the success of Nano in the Taiwan market but has said that the company may need to make desired changes so as to meet the high environmental needs of the consumer.
Huang also highlighted the fact that when he test drove the Nano on his visit to India in January this year, he was impressed by the small car and found the ride comfortable and satisfactory. Huang also said that the product can reach a speed of 100 km/hr. very easily.
Huang's company is very much interested in partnering with Tata Motors and becoming an agent for the Indian auto major in Taiwan. Pradeep Kumar Rawat, director-general of India-Taipei Association said that the prospects of the product in the Taiwan market are surely very bright. Notably, the Taiwan market will be a part of the global game plan that has been devised by the Indian auto major for the world's cheapest car.
