The National Accounts Committee (NAC), in its meeting, reviewed and finalized National Accounts for FY22.

The estimates of GDP growth for FY22 came out to be 5.97% compared to the 5.74% growth recorded in FY21. (actual figure might cross 6% in 2022)

This is the first time after 2006 that country has achieved 5+ GDP growth in consecutive years

38775/195《200 bn USD which is GDP in USD.

Nominal GDP (which is used as GDP internationally ) is different
Real GDP is different (which is inflationary adjusted)

Pakistan nominal GDP figures are more than 300 Bn while Pakistan Purchasing power parity is near 1100 USD bn

We shouldn’t concern ourselves with dollar conversion etc. real thing is real GDP growth in rupees (not nominal). 6% is a lot MashAllah. I calculate that currently primary CAD is about 0.5-1 bn $. This needs to be fixed and beyond that we can have a sustainable bout of decent growth. One spanner in the works is this PDM govt. they need to go asap.
