N. Korea tested hydrogen bomb that can be mounted on ICBM – state TV

Damn. who'd have thought these brainwashed, malnourished and robot-like people will one day put an end to the mighty american civilisation.

Human history is just full of surprises...

I am wondering if North Korean members wold troll Indians to death with their H-Bomb, like the way Indians troll Chinese with their MoM.

Kim got US (not only trump) by the ball$. US virtually helpless and can not do jack other than huffing and puffing. Trump recently gone chief strategist admitted that much.

Who would think that testing weapons by a tin pot dictator would amount the end of civilization.

Countless dictators have gone down this lane & met similar ends.

I smell a war in few years or in 2018 which will mark a end of US super power badge.

China never allow to US to dictate terms at their door step and sit permanently

FYI China is against the NK testing and has advised them not to do it.

US and China are in agreement on this.

Also, a US-China war will result in M.A.D.

They will never fight each other no matter what you think.

This is where your problem lies.

1- US has always been around the region due to its proximity to Taiwan Strait. While it may be none of their business, but they have a treaty with Taiwan to defend them. Their bilateral matter. This is long before India and US entered into any sort of strategic partnership.

2- Firstly we aren't operating in Chinese waters. Secondly, it is the Government of Vietnam who called us to explore oil along with their government companies in their territory. You're talking as we are in Chinese territorial waters. If our oil companies win a bid to conduct any sort of commercial activities in another country's water, I don't see how China should be bothered about it.

Pakistan don't even have 100kt nuke.:o:

They have better missile tech than us, we gave them nuclear tech and they gave us missile tech.

I don't know where is it coming from, but do you think Pakistanis cannot even do that math by ourselves? Do you have some personal prejudice against Pakistan? Developing rocket model isn't an issue at all in solid propellant domain. If the resources are available, even a novice engineer can come up with reasonable rocket model after a few trials. Regarding Nukes: Though they blame Pakistan have transferred the technology for centrifuges but who knows? Maybe we're crazy but we're not crazy enough to transfer blue prints for nukes - that would ultimately become irrefutable proof of nuclear proliferation. Also, for your information, Pakistan have nuke with yield 25 KT to 400-500 KT and that are not H-Bombs.

PS: Don't confuse yourself with state of art navigation, tracking, communication, flight control and other sensors. There are only a few countries capable enough to produce them - the rest either legitimately buy or smuggle because they're to much complex too copy.

The highest Pakistan have tested is well below your claims of 400-500 KT.... There is no solid evidence Pakistan has 400-500KT yield nukes, As for 'personal prejudice' that's nonsense. Don't confuse shock and surprise for prejudiced.

So, based on your theory: Israel don't have nuclear bombs at all? Tsar Bomba 100 MT, China's 5 MT devices etc never existed? Pakistan didn't have their nukes ready before may 1998? Intelligence agencies and international organizations are just fools to believe such idiot things, Isn't it? :-)

PS: If you don't know anything about nukes - you don't need to blast full yield device to test a design, you just scale down the device for tests unless you're studying impacts instead of design. Today, you don't even need to test nukes real-time as long as you're sure about what you're using in weapon - you just run computer simulation based on available data and you get almost real-time results. Also, for your information, creating tactical nuclear device is far more difficult than creating big bomb.

There were rumors a couple of years ago that Indian engineers are suspected to be working with North Koria on their nuclear program. By any chance, is that true?

India is after H-Bomb for long and their 1998 test of H-Bomb was suspected to be unsuccessful.
Highly improbable. While Indian thermonuclear test was unsuccessful, I believe their design was okay and any minor rectifications required would have already been made and validated via simulations.

In my opinion, India is already in possession of 2-stage thermonuclear weapons, in multiple deploy-able numbers. However, confidence remains low since they haven't been validated via a hot test.

Yep, that makes sense. Thanks for detail. But there is another view: They might not be after tech but just a Trojan working on someones behalf to assess actual level of proliferation. Anyway, that are just rumors - North Korea might be desperate but not that insane that it will not recognize who is up for what.

Don't indulge in conspiracy theories, Indians are quite advanced in nuclear weapon design.
