Its a stupid doctrine that pits a Tank against a Tank, an Aircraft against an aircraft and so on. And its a stupider military enthusiast who tries to see which component of a warring side performed better or worse than the same component of the other side.

Its a war, and the job of a general is to make that war as unfair as possible in his favor. Its not a testosterone fueled street fight. It doesnt matter who has the best tank or the best Fighter jet. Its who has the best combination of military assets and how they are wielded against the enemy. USA follows a strategy of stomping everything to ground using stand off weapons before their armor and infantry go in and that saves lives of their military men and gets them successes faster. At the end, the prize is not for having the best tank, but to meet the military objectives with minimum casualties on the side of the blue team..
