Myanmar trying to grab Bangladesh territory in Bay of Bengal

@Aung Zaya let's have a formal military alliance....we are ready to provide you will nuclear weapons design & ready to transfer one of our nuclear reactors.....You don't have to repay even a penny of debt taken from India.....

If Myanmar attacks BD & occupy any (or whole part) of BD, India will quickly & swiftly recognize that (or whole) part as Burmese Territory.

We are ready to transfer Burma state of the art Brahmos, Barak 8, Sukhoi 30MKI, Agni V, INS Arihant, Second Akula to be leased, Project 17A & Project 15B warships to our beloved brothers of Burma!!!

Excellent plan, my minion. Once they do that, we will launch a counter invasion and occupy both Bangladesh and Myanmar. Akhand Bharat Zindabad.

I am guessing the Myanmar additional "claim" is around the triple point region where the 3 countries EEZ's meet up.

There is no issue of there being any dispute between Indian and Burmese territorial water dispute, the landmasses are too far away.

So the title of this thread is wrong, Burma is not claiming territorial water from B'desh....just an EEZ overlay it seems. Which B'desh clearly has already gained acknowledged status over in the UNCLOS (it seems). An EEZ is not owned by a country, it is not Bangladeshi territory.

India doesn't even care about this Burmese claim being filed, Bangladesh can ignore it too. Why the seriously ruffled feathers....has Burma really gotten to your heads that much?

LOL brother hood cooperation... :D just give us CH port.. the rest is urs.. :P

LOL.. the same corvette.? tell me what type of this corvette did u see in China..? our corvettes were design and built in our own with help of China and Russia.. neither China built nor Design... :D
Keep on telling yourselves that. Those were Chinese designs given to you. And we are having 6 more of it. Your country spends 33% of government expenditure on military, ours spends only 6%. Your country will go to oblivion before it goes to war with us.

Got a source for this?
Hard to put it as they say that there actual budget is much larger than what the government expresses. Their government income is $13.6 billion and official defence budget is $2.5 billion. But they say the actual is over 4 billion. And if we take 4.5 (since above 4 billion), it gives 33% as defence expenditure compared to their government revenue.
Here's a source for their government revenue.

Infact their deficit for the current year ($ 3 billion) is greater than our defence budget.
U Thein Sein govt’s last budget approved

Why can't Myanmar join Bangladesh? Their country is not known to rest of the world. Atleast merging with Bangladesh will make them known to the world.
Why don't you both merge with India:wave::whistle:

By GDP %, their spending is about 3.7% compared to B'desh's 1.2%..

Military expenditure (% of GDP) | Data | Table

Bangladesh has about 3 times the economy of Burma, so I guess their military spending is roughly equivalent?

We can only go by what they say officially imo. Related "military allied" expenditures (as the US often uses in the case with China)....are very sensitive to definition....especially when the military is heavily involved in businesses etc.
