Myanmar has progressed in the political area. Though, the military still holds a significant portion of the parliament (25%).

I do not think those developments would affect this agreement between India and Myanmar.

India finally seems to have got something right with one of its neighbors. Its an open fact that India desperately want Myanmar on its side for its Gas reserves and MEA wouldnot want another country getting cozy with China. It doesnot matter if that means dealing with Junta and snubbing pro-democracy movement.
Su chi was probably not wrong when she expressed her disappointment over these facts, two months ago during Nehru memorial lecture in Delhi.
