Myanmar-Bangladesh spat has China smiling

Tell the truth... These Indian and Bangladeshi experts are too weak...
Now please look at the strategy of China experts.

a Chinese general once said in public:we are ready to sacrifice all the cities east of Xi'an. Nuclear war with the US....

Of course, this is just some hawks personal views.

@Bilal9 @GeraltofRivia

We have some hawks too. I don't really care much for them personally, its little too extreme for me (I understand sometimes have to posture and all).

I prefer people who can really debate stuff thoroughly. It doesn't have to be weak...but just have to have solid pragmatic viewpoint after a good neutral analysis as possible.

While I will admit that foreign policy of Bangladesh has been rather weak, Hasina's govt. checked off all the right points, meaning level-headed negotiation with Myanmar and publicizing the issue into international fora (UN) so a long-lasting repatriation solution can be found. The UN and some Western Govts. have already sanctioned Myanmar through freezing bank accounts of the generals. Through it all, trade with Myanmar has continued unabated.

One cannot rightfully condone ethnic and racial cleansing of an entire group of people (Rohingya) living within a country's entire border for millennia, and illegally drive them out by creating a reign of rape, killings and terror.

For example, there are hill tribes living in Bangladesh's southern areas (mostly tribes of Chakma and other indigenous ethnicities) and these are the most protected people we have. They enjoy quotas in education and jobs and lead comfortable lives. I'd say they have been well accepted as members of Bangladeshi society. Now compare their treatment to how the Myanmarese are treating the Rohingya.

The majority Bengalis have not tried to destroy these indigenous tribal cultures, assimilate them culturally, or worse, drive them out to Myanmar, where similar tribes live. The Govt. has gone to the trouble of publishing primary school curricula into the main indigenous languages (Tripura, Marma, Chakma) so those languages can be preserved and children trained in them.

There are international norms regarding ethnic cleansing all countries have agreed to - including China.

Those norms have not been enforced on Myanmar, which is sad.

Just because China has interest in Myanmarese mineral resources, it cannot ignore those norms. Ignoring them has long term repercussions.

I became friends with you in 2016, very early. Similarly, I also have a lot of Bengali friends.

for some topics, I choose to avoid.... but this does not mean that I didn't see or do not know.

yes my character cowardly, If I met an American. It's easier for me to deal with it.

Most people here do not know you well my friend....I do, you are a good+curious guy underneath.

Most people judge only by what they see on this forum etc...and we all got a bit extreme sometimes on that stuff....given its just to blow of steam sometimes etc.

Overall I am just happy everyone in Asia (esp the two biggest populations) are moving along, learning and getting better at things. No longer is it a suppressed dominated continent...we must keep rising and challenging the earlier status quo brother....that damaged and even wrecked our earlier positions.
