A Myanmar army helicopter crashed Friday, March 6 in Shan state in the east of the country.

Several foreign diplomats and military attaches were on board, Reuters reported. The helicopter was traveling to Yangon in southern Myanmar when it crashed outside Lwe Khan village in the north of Shan state, a spokesperson told the news agency.

The number of casualties was not immediately known.

Looks like a hard landing only... There is a reason why helo with non retractable landing gear has better survival rate and is rated a better design. Almost all attack gunship used non retractable landing gear design despite less aerodynamic.

Broken tail boom right beside the cockpit, probably the tail rotor malfunctioned causing a spiral hard landing.
