Spiritual figure... and that is why he had to escape to neighboring India to establish a parallel Tibetean government. Since when spiritual figures started running the head of the state offices? Indians are amazing people indeed for they cant even see the difference between Dalai Lama and the Prophet of a religion.

Tibetan Buddhist consider Dalai Lama to be the reincarnation of Gelug, their first prophet. He is Tibetan Buddhist's most important religious figures. Till recently most Pakistanis were giving lectures of not 'insulting' religious figures and now you are guilty of doing the same. Preach what you practice.

Your one of the few decent Indian posters on the forum. Don’t go to the dark unintelligent comments side they are plenty of Indians on the forum for that . Anyways Pakistan does have a problem with how it treats is minorities but it's really suspicious coming for Dalai Lama to bring it up when you include his relationship with India but obviously the problem is there.

You are assuming a lot. Tibetan were persecuted by Chinese and that is why they are running a government in exile. By the way Dalai Lama doesn't run the government. He is a figurehead. There is a prime minister that runs the government.

Whatever you say, he is revered by Buddhists and is their foremost religious figure. I am not saying he should not be criticized. I believe in freedom of speech. But people who till yesterday who were lecturing us on misuse of freedom of speech are insulting a religious figure of another religion.

He is right.. More Shias are killed in Pakistan every year than Muslims killed in 2002 riots, the number was 800 something.. There are bomb blasts many times a year in Shias mosques every year in Pakistan.. They are specifically targtetted along with ahmadis and killed. Nothing like this happens in India.. The riot of 2002 happened 13 years ago and 10 times more Shias lost their lives in Pakistan during this time frame..

Since DL lives in India, I am sure he knows better than any Pakistani/Bangladeshi expert here..

He would be under threat for ''offending Muslim sentiments", a crime punishable by killing him and every one else around him according to almost all Pakistanis.
