Dalai Lama is right. Pakistanis have to go 22/12 years back to show how Muslims are oppressed in India whereas minorities are getting killed on a regular basis in Pakistan for the last so many years. Minority Muslims such as Shia, Ahmadi etc. are definitely safer in India.

He is just trying to please india so he can stay there bit longer :coffee:

My honest opinion is that Dalai Lama is right. Shiites of Pakistan are treated much worse than how muslims are treated in India. That's a fact for me. As a shiite Hazara Pakistani told me, they got fooled to join sunnis to form Pakistan. At least they could have lived without the fear of getting killed and harassed by sunnis, and could have go to their imam's shrines in Iran and Iraq without fearing their lives.

Ones views and mutual respect are two different things with only an overlap.

Anyway, arapaima a has made his opinions of Pakistan clear. Like it or not that's done.

Dalai offer his opinion not base on a mutual respect with Pakistan, you can't blame Pakistan poster show their contempt toward Dalai Lama.

it seems ur "shiite hazara Pakistani" friend is a figment of your imagination or wet dream. Hazaras have always been patriots serving in all fields incl. army, politics, our nuclear development, industry and culture. in case you didnt notice a bunch of terrorists have imposed war on the people of Pakistan for over a decade. shias, christians, etc are being targetted by these mofos, and so are (in majority of cases) sunnis. we are actively working to eradicate this menace and dont need foreigners to tell us how to handle our affairs and challenges, especially with a view to drive a wedge. so kindly buzz off.

He's 100% right. The denial of fellow Pakistanis is rather surprising.

Well the shia hazara are a targeted community in Baluchistan...They have been hit the hardest because they are easily identified due to their distinct features plus they are a ethnic minority in that province and that also plays a part in violence against them
The case of mainstream shias is different...yes their has been sectarian violence against them but those same groups have also targeted the Pakistani state and its not as if the sunnis of this country are exempt from that
There has been no state sanctioned discrimination against shias in this country
The father of the nation was i believe a Shia
There have been many Prime Ministers who have been Shia
In our cities there are no sunni areas or shia areas
Whatever the problems they face is due to the weakness of the Pakistani state in addressing the problem rather than it being complicit in it

We all know which people like giving rishta in the family(cousin marriage capital of the world). As for the rest, why are you speaking like you are not a bhaiyya muhajir? You are a Dalit convert, don't get it twisted bhaiyya.

Lol an Indian talking about cousin marriage.

Troll Thread. Perceptions are always way better than realities....that is for both sides. As India is progressing economically, i hope Indian Muslims will play their key role for India's progress as well. As far as the so called "Shia Genocide" in Pakistan....i am gonna attend marriage of my best friend tomorrow who belong to Shia Community, and whose marriage ceremony will be held in grand style in a most popular location. There is still a mosque in my city in which central hall is separated by thin curtain so that Shia's and Sunnis could offer their prayers at same time...!! Reality is that our law enforcement agencies captured several groups in urban cities who were systematically involved in killing Shia and Sunni Religious scholars at the same time...!!! Hate is a disease which has damaged the psyche of humanity...need to get rid of this as soon as possible before it gets too late..!!

This @Luca1 fellow gets exposed again and again and again..... still he comes back....

He has only three things to say basically..... INDIA BAD, POOR, EVIL..... CHINA GOOD, SUPERPOWER..... PAKISTAN VICTIM, RISING POWER, CONSPIRACY

Never ever in my life I have come across an Yankee so much concerned about these 3 counries :)
I mean, I am not saying his points are crap. Often they are worthy for a healthy debate.... But why can't he just show his original flags?

I'm using my flag. And there are no topics as interesting as India related threads. What other areas in this forum can you find ancient interplanetary travel. That is what make this forum so fun.

And women in India are safer too :sarcastic: This Dalai Lama is more drunk then Swamy.

Kolkata, Jan 13: Describing himself as a Marxist, Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Tuesday said many Marxist leaders have now become capitalists in thinking. "As far as social-economic theory is concerned, I am still a Marxist," the spiritual leader said adding that he admires Marxism because of its focus on reducing gap between the rich and the poor. "Many Marxist leaders are now capitalists in their thinking. It depends on their motivation, thinking, wider perspective," the spiritual leader said during a lecture on world peace in Presidency University. "In capitalist countries, there is an increasing gap between the rich and the poor. In Marxism, there is emphasis on equal distribution. That is very crucial to me," he said. He blamed discrimination against women those from low-castes for hampering peace in India, but said, "Muslims in India are living more safely than the Shias of Pakistan."

Most published accounts of him breeze on as airily as the subject, for whom a good giggle and a quaint parable are substitutes for hard answers. But this is the man who advocates greater autonomy for millions of people who are currently Chinese citizens, presumably with him as head of their government. So, why not hold him accountable as a political figure?

No mere spiritual leader, he was the head of Tibet’s government when he went into exile in 1959. It was a state apparatus run by aristocratic, nepotistic monks that collected taxes, jailed and tortured dissenters and engaged in all the usual political intrigues. (The Dalai Lama’s own father was almost certainly murdered in 1946, the consequence of a coup plot.)

The government set up in exile in India and, at least until the 1970s, received $US1.7 million a year from the CIA.

The money was to pay for guerilla operations against the Chinese, notwithstanding the Dalai Lama’s public stance in support of non-violence, for which he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.

The Dalai Lama himself was on the CIA’s payroll from the late 1950s until 1974, reportedly receiving $US15,000 a month ($US180,000 a year).

The funds were paid to him personally, but he used all or most of them for Tibetan government-in-exile activities, principally to fund offices in New York and Geneva, and to lobby internationally.
