I'm glad to keep your interested so we can have this conversation. All three you have mentioned are unfortunate puppets. Let me briefly outline them for you:

(1) Colin Powell -- he is forever stained with being held responsible for the WMD lies that led to Gulf War I and Gulf War II. He sold his soul to the devil for a few shekels.

(2) Condoleeza Rice -- she is forever stained with upholding the killings of innocents in Iraq & Afghan, and for supporting the phoney "war-on-terror".

(3) Barack Obama -- he is the fall guy for the collapse of the US economy. They will pin the blame on him, while true culprits like Alan Greenspan gets away scott-free (or mostly).

The success of American bi-party monopoly of democracy is based on near-complete extermination of native Indians. Without this, all non-native Americans will be voted out of North America from day one. A (Caucasian) politician proclaimed in his Federalist Paper that: fortunately we (non-native Indians) share the similar value (of wiping-off native people?) and use the similar languages.

American people elect no body but representative puppets of interest groups. Goldman Sachs and Citi Group, part of the culprits that caused this financial crisis, have been blatantly executing the biggest bonus distribution plan in years, while most poor Americans are struggling with their daily bill payments. Are those elected politicians all evaporated?

People have no choice while being asked to pick an apple from two rotten apples when the voters are confined in a cage system that is designed by the few and the rich.

Escalation of Afghan war is another evidence that BO is driven by interest groups behind. American sons and daughters are dying for shoring-up corrupted Afghan government as the brother of the head busy profiting from opium trade, safely…

Bet you not many Americans know or want to know this as it is hardly “made sensational” thereof by our great media.

Actually the Chinese consulate (or embassy) officially called the festival directors and told them to remove the movie.

Also, the Australian ambassador to China was called up and admonished, so it is an officail Chinese government protest.

But I agree with you that this movie is only one side of the story. Like I said, I wish the Chinese people, both Han and Uighur, to make peace and get past this conflict. It is good for both of them.

This has been disputed, as the diplomat contacted the festival organizer in private and claimed to voice personal opinion.

There is no connection between the directors of three withdrawn films and the PRC diplomat.

There is still a Chinese film that is not withdrawn. This is clear evidence that all these boycotts are personal behavior not a governmental action.
