Rohingya issue is for all to be concerned about. This isn't purely about religion regards to Rohingya oppressions in MM, this is CLEARLY a genocide, pure ethnic cleansing against innocent human beings that happen to be different from the Majority, and its highly racially motivated.

Indonesia ready to help Bangladesh over Rohingya issue: Retno Marsudi

Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi today expressed her country's readiness to help Bangladesh in easing burden on it over Rohingya issue.

She said they will continue to discuss with Bangladesh what sort of support Indonesia can provide to put an end to the crisis.

“This humanitarian crisis should be ended,” the visiting Indonesian foreign minister said while briefing media at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka wrapping up her 10-hour visit here.

Earlier, Retno held meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Bangladesh counterpart AH Mahmood Ali.

Meanwhile, Indonesia has submitted a proposal to Myanmar named 'Formula 4 + 1' for Rakhine State to restore peace and allowing immediate access to humanitarian assistance there, reports UNB.

These four elements consist of (i) restoring stability and security; (ii) maximum restraint and non-violence; (iii) protection to all persons in the Rakhine State, regardless of race and religion; and (iv) the importance of immediate access to humanitarian assistance.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi had a meeting with Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar's capital on Monday and placed the proposal.

"The first four elements are the main elements that must be done immediately so that the crisis of humanity and security does not worsen," explained the Indonesian Foreign Minister.

Another element is of importance for the recommendation of the Advisory Panel Report for the Rakhine State headed by Kofi Annan which she suggested implementing immediately.

The Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs at the meeting also expressed the concern and high commitment of Indonesian Humanitarian NGO to Myanmar.

In this regard, she said it has just launched the Humanitarian Alliance of Indonesia for Myanmar (AKIM) on August 31.

The Alliance consists of 11 humanitarian organizations, which prioritise its assistance on four issues, namely (i) education; (ii) health; (iii) livelihood (economy); and (iv) relief. The assistance commitments given by the Alliance amounted to US 2 million.

"I hope that the government of Myanmar can continue granting access to AKIM as it has been with the government of Indonesia in implementing several programmes," the Indonesian Foreign Minister was quoted as saying in a text UNB obtained on Tuesday.

They wouldn't have entered BD had she not wanted. She says BD won't tale Rohingyas to send a message to Myanmar. Because BD taking Rohingyas is not a solution and that's exactly what Burmese want. While many Rohinguas do find shelter in BD.

মিয়ানমারের রাখাইন রাজ্যে রোহিঙ্গা মুসলমানদের ওপর চলমান নৃশংসতা গণহত্যার সামিল বলে মন্তব্য করে দেশটির বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণের জন্য মুসলিম বিশ্বের প্রতি আহ্বান জানিয়েছে কুয়েত।বুধবার কুয়েতের ন্যাশনাল অ্যাসেম্বলি কর্তৃক আয়োজিত এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে দেশটির সংসদ সদস্যরা এ আহবান জানান। তারা সহিংসতা বন্ধে মিয়ানমারের সরকারের প্রতি চাপ প্রয়োগের জন্য দ্রুত এবং সঠিক পদক্ষেপ নেয়ারও আহ্বান জানান।

কুয়েতের সাংসদ আবদুল্লাহ আল ইনেজি এ সময় বলেন, কুয়েতের উচিত মিয়ানমারের সঙ্গে সব ধরনের কূটনৈতিক সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করা এবং সেখানকার নির্যাতিতদের সহায়ত করা।


সংবাদ সম্মেলনে রোহিঙ্গাদের নির্যাতনের ব্যাপারে উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছেন অারও বেশ কয়েকজন সাংসদ। পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী খালিদ আল-জারুল্লাহ উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করে বলেন, মিয়ানমারে১৮ হাজারের বেশি রোহিঙ্গা প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন।

এদিকে,রোহিঙ্গাদের পরিস্থিতি দেখতে বাংলাদেশে এসেছেন তুরস্কের ফার্স্ট লেডি এমিন এরদোগান। তিনি বলেছেন, আমরা রোহিঙ্গাদের ওপর ঘটে যাওয়া পাশবিকতার কথা শুনেছি। তাদের (রোহিঙ্গাদের) ওপর ঘটে যাওয়া নিপীড়ন বড়ই অমানবিক, বর্বর।

তিনি আরও বলেন, নিজ দেশে এভাবে পাশবিকতার শিকার হওয়া কখনো কাম্য নয়। এটি বিশ্ব দরবারে তুলে ধরতে জাতিসংঘের আগামী অধিবেশনে উত্থাপন করা হবে।

রাখাইনে সংখ্যালঘু রোহিঙ্গাদের মাঝে ১০ হাজার টন ত্রাণ বিতরণ করবে তুরস্ক। প্রথম দফায় পাঠানো এক হাজার টন ত্রাণ বিতরণ শেষে দ্বিতীয় দফায় এই ত্রাণ পাঠানো হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন তুরস্কের প্রেসিডেন্ট রিসেপ তাইয়েপ এরদোয়ান।

লিখিত এক বিবৃতিতে রাখাইন রাজ্যে রোহিঙ্গা মুসলিমদের ওপর যে অত্যাচার, নিপীড়ন ও গণহত্যা চালানো হচ্ছে তা বন্ধে আন্তর্জাতিক পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ এবং রোহিঙ্গাদের সমস্যা সমাধান করে তাদের উন্নত জীবন নিশ্চিত করতে কাজ করার আহ্বান জানিয়েছে আরব পার্লামেন্ট।

অন্যদিকে, বাংলাদেশে আশ্রয় নেয়া রোহিঙ্গা মুসলমানদের জন্য কার্গো বিমানে করে ত্রাণ পাঠাচ্ছে ইসলামি প্রজাতন্ত্র ইরান। ইরানি কার্গো বিমান অবতরণের অনুমতি চেয়ে আজই বাংলাদেশ সরকারের কাছে আবেদন করা হয়েছে এবং খুব শিগগিরই অনুমতি মিলবে বলে ঢাকাস্থ ইরানি দূতাবাস জানিয়েছে ।দূতাবাসের পক্ষ থেকে আরও বলা হয়েছে, আগামী শনিবার ইরানের ত্রাণবাহী বিমান বাংলাদেশে পৌঁছাবে বলে তারা আশা করছেন। ইরানি ত্রাণ সামগ্রীর মধ্যে শুকনো খাবার, ওষুধ ও কাপড় থাকছে। ত্রাণ বিতরণের সব আয়োজনও সম্পন্ন করেছে ইরান দূতাবাস।আস

With Pakistanis it is Indian Kashmiris.

With Bangladeshis it is the Rohingya.

I am just amazed at the reluctance to put yourselves directly in the firing line for your own people.

It's not a desi thing. This is something uniquely to the east and west of us.

And it truly brings home to me the absurdity of this whole Muslim umma concept at large, and the Two Nation Theory specific to our own history.
