Is that what you are told about Eid ul Azha?
Then what do you suggest. Before slaughter beat the hell out of the animal rather then treat it affectionately?
The sacrificial meat is supposed to be handed to poor and relatives too. Many of whom can't afford to eat on a regular basis. To you giving fresh meat to friends and relatives is a bad thing too? Think about that next time you gobble down a KFC.
Don't beat the animal. Never suggested that. I would much rather if the Qurbani never happens and Muslim families just release the animal after feeding and treating it lovingly after Eid or if the Qurbani is a must then just get the animal and do the Qurbani without the feeding and loving treatment.
I mean just think about it from the animal's perspective, he/she probably feels that he/she has been adopted by a loving family that will feed and take care of him/her for the rest of his/her life, but suddenly it's killed and eaten. That's just a bit sad to me. But again, if it's a part of your religion then go ahead, no problems. I agree that sharing the meat with the poor is a good thing and all Muslims must do it if they don't already.
The KFC and other non veg food I eat is probably not treated like family before being killed is it ?
Buddy, how long can someone keep tolerating insults after insults to one's community? The fact is, history is evidence to all the reasons for which Vivasvat Manu is angry.
If insults were targeted towards my community, I would also get on the offensive. I think you should face facts and be able to tell the truth from the false.
Secularism and respect is a two way street.
Why the whole guilt when those who do are not guilty?
I must have missed out on the insults to Hinduism on this thread. I didn't read any before Manu started with his diatribe against Muslims and Christians. Besides, why denigrate Christians ? I don't see any Christians here insulting us.
