Please give us a break----stop this holier than thou attitude. Tell me about some pakistanis who donot say ' I swear on qura'an ' and they are knowingly lying. Is it any different than kicking the qura'an! Or put their hands on qura'an and swear by it knowingly that they are lying and not one at time----a whole group of family would do that shamelessly.

It is not being holier than thou attitude to tell the facts as they are of a cess pit of repression and corruption that is Turkey. We were under sanctions from 1990-2001...in the same period Turkey required roughly $50 billion to keep it afloat....imagine if someone kept on injecting that kind of money into Pakistani economy ( btw we have accumalted 35 billion in debt in the last 59 years )...so when people wish Pakistan to be like Turkey....that is not a well wish...but infact a curse.....taking pakistan back towards darkness of repression and corruption. If your so dying for liberalism or secularism might as well go the whole way and wish pakistan being like america or UK....yes there would be liberals doing all sorts of un-Godly things...but atleast those who would want to be practising muslims will still have the freedom and liberty to be so. Infact there is another muslim country which is tolerant and developed...i.e. Malaysia....why not wish Pakistan to become like Malaysia.?

As far as people lying under oath is concerned that is world-wide phenomenon ( as oppose to your "some pakistanis" )....in english law there is specific crime of perjury to deal with this....nevertheless this kind of thing goes on as was observed by one of supreme court judges in the uk as a matter of routine. But in the most obvious cases people are sentenced to prison...like senior Tory Jeffrey Archer ( yes the famous novelist ) because he won the civil court case by lying under oath...after ten years it became obvious he had lied under oath...he was arrested and sentenced to 6 years in prison. To equate lying under oath ( which is lying after swearing on the Quran ) which people may resort to due to force of personal circumstances with the physical descretion of Quran ( kicking the Quran as if it was a football ) for the pleasure of Zionists is complete and utter nonsense. There can be no comparison of the two....no matter how much you compare the two in the depths of your metaphysical heavon.

Musharraf is like what saddam was in 80's to US.

Worse than that Rehman. Saddam was during the cold war era. Mush is during the WOT era. there is big difference. Entire west is behind this WOT. This is was not the case when Cold War was there. So pressure on Pak is more and leaders like MUSH make it certain that Pakistan looses this struggle.

2/ Israel. GOP has been dealing with Israel for the last 20 years.
