Musharraf on CNN - debunking US aid myths and more!

Brilliant man.

I'm glad he has finally busted up one of the loud-mouth, thinks he's so smart critics Fareed Zakaria. This idiot Zakaria parades around as a expert on Pakistan, suggesting a valid possibility of Taliban taking control of Pakistan's nukes...

Gen. Musharraf also won his debates against the Indian crowd when he visited Mumbai, India at a conference.

.
Hell Yeah!

But the issue has not really been the 'clarification of the AID record', do we really all of these so called analysts, think tanks and journalists cannot even fact check a simple record of how that ten billion was broken down?

Once again, people complain that Pakistani media promotes rumor mongering and conspiracies - we have had in front of us for several years now an example of how the US media has engaged in rumor and fear mongering, distortions and outright lies in its coverage of Pakistan.

.
In this interview i heard that Inda cant attack Pakistan coz india knows wt Pakistan have!!!!

Now, I am thinking wt else Pakistan have other then Atomic bomb, and stong nuclear balistic and cruise missel.

Oh no worries - Zakaria will likely be regurgitating the 10 billion aid distortion along with many others in his next article and show.

What does not being able to fact-check a simple stat, on how the aid disbursed to Pakistan breaks down, say about his journalistic ability?

These clarifications have been issued several times in the past by Pakistan as well. The US media is essentially in the control of the US establishment when it comes to foreign policy issues, through the ubiquitous 'anonymous sources', and the vilification and trial of Iraq pre-invasion through planted lies and distortions was an excellent example of that.

Here is more good footage of Gen. Musharraf answering questions from the Media.

I really respect Mushraf, he is the real man and I think is the only one left who can really handle Pakistan people and country, Zardari, Nawaz all worried about seat and money. He is the only person who really did something for country. I really hate those people who were talking about him when he was president that he is not doing good to country bla bla bla. Honestly we do not deserve democracy we deserve Marshal Law. Sirf Danday Ka zor.

Mushraf is a great guy in terms handling himself (i am one of the few indian guys who can say this :) ) ....He fielded all the questions from Indian audience in a very nice fashion ...He might be a great politician , if he ever choose to become one and also the fact that he has been COAS earns him the extra respect from the defence forces....nobody can take him on a wild goose chase..thats for sure.

That is purely short term vision ....too much power corrupts anyone/everyone...atleast in a democracy you have the option to show the person the middle finger....in a martial law its just danday ka zor on you as well...

i have got to accept one thing. that CNN guy ran out of questions.

.
Btw, this guy is well known Anti Pakistani. He is of Indian origin therefore he is always biased when giviging info on Pakistan on CNN

Please.. give me a break.. he was in the Commando forces and fought a war in Kargil and experienced first hand what war looks like. I am not a Musharaff Supporter but to claim he is an indian agent or something just because of his Indian origin is a very blunt statement or just because he wanted better relations with India.

Edit

Sorry saad i thought you were talking about Musharaf but you were talking about Fareed Zakaria.. my apologies

When Musharaff was going Full force in Waziristan the whole country started criticizing him.. The Same people from Waziristan slowly moved to the northern Areas as well as from Afghanistan, than Swat, than Buner.. and THAN the country realized oh we have a major threat.

. .
Please don't capitalize the word "AID"....Leads to other thoughts.
