So what did Biden say in that clip?

Obviously, he was referring to the end of Nordstream as a reliable energy supply to Germany because of sanctions. There is no need to do anything more when sanctions are effective, as we have seen. The pipelines were shut down long before the latest mishap.

He doesn't dismiss any options.... They just used their TNT option after the sanctions didn't work.

Have you heard what Condoleezza Rice said as a precursor to all this?

All options remain on the table, as Presidents like to say, but just how did you conclude that sanctions did not work, when the pipeline was already shut down when the incident happened? It was not supplying gas, and it was not generating revenue for the Russkis, just as Biden said.

Common consensus is that the sanctions haven't really worked and the Nord Stream has continued to be an advantage for the Russians in ensuring that Europe (particularly Germany) remain dependent on Russian energy. Until of course it was blown up that is.

Some will always find ways to ignore facts because their minds are already made up, obviously. I cannot do anything here. :D

Some will just dodge questions.... That's why these online forums are pretty much useless for actual rational fact based conversations.... Again: Have you heard what Condoleezza Rice said as a precursor to all this?

Germany’s Economy Minister Robert Habeck has come close to accusing the United States and other gas exporters of “increased” prices as a result of the Ukraine war’s consequences. The federal minister said that even “friendly” countries “sometimes achieve moon prices.”
Habeck particularly centered on Washington DC, saying the country turned to Germany and Europe when oil prices shot up.
“As a result of which, national oil reserves were tapped in Europe as well. I think such solidarity would also be good for dampening gas prices,” said Habeck.

Germany's economy minister accused the U.S. and other "friendly" gas supplier states of astronomical prices for their supplies, suggesting they were profiting from the fallout from the war in Ukraine.
"Some countries, including friendly ones, sometimes achieve astronomical prices [for their gas]. Of course, that brings with it problems that we have to talk about," Economy Minister Robert Habeck told regional German paper NOZ in an interview published Wednesday which was translated by NBC News. He called for more solidarity from the U.S. when it comes to assisting its energy-pressed allies in Europe.
"The United States contacted us when oil prices shot up, and the national oil reserves in Europe were tapped as a result. I think such solidarity would also be good for curbing gas prices," he said.
CNBC contacted the White House for a response to the comments and is awaiting a reply.
